Let's visit the The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier which is a monument in Warsaw, Poland, dedicated to the unknown soldiers who have given their lives for Poland, and let's watch the change of guard at noon on a Sunday. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw is one of many such national tombs of unknowns that were erected after World War I, and the most important such monument in Poland.
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, located at Piłsudski Square, is the only surviving part of the Saxon Palace that occupied the spot until World War II. Since 2 November 1925 the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier houses the unidentified body of a young soldier who fell during the Defence of Lwów. Since then, earth from numerous battlefields where Polish soldiers have fought has been added to the urns housed in the surviving pillars of the Saxon Palace.

Wonderful video! They're talking about rebuilding both of the palaces there, I hope they do, it would look very nice! I believe good things are coming to Poland!

Very nice video. Hope you liked the visit in Poland. That was the ceremonial changing of the guards that takes place every sunday at the Piłsudski square. The soldiers, that appeared there were, to be officers, from the Polish Air Force Academy, that's why they were wearing field uniforms. Normally, as the air force, they would were the steel coloured uniforms as the musicians did. It's interesting, because occasionally some other units, as presented in the video, do the changing of the guards, and it's a nice occasion to take a look at different types of uniforms that polish army wear. The themes, the trumpeter was playing, were "guard service" and "sleep my friend" played always during military funerals or ceremonial changing of the guards.

I have seen this few times live.. it's beautiful. The big white building on the right is an amazing Grand Theater so the square is called Theater Square. Behind the Tomb is a beautiful park called Saski Garden with a gorgeous fountain at the entrance. My father was a decorated veteran of Polish Army who spent 5 years in German POW camp.

Actually Greeks were very brave during entire history and during WW2. Only three countries in Germany's occupied Europe did NOT collaborate with Nazis. They were: Poland (which had never officially surrendered), Czechoslovakia and GREECE. Neither of governments, institutions nor people of these countries were involved or joined the war on German side.

If you want to see "full ceremony" with a music, soldiers singing and parade come on August 15th ( the Polish Army Day) or on November 11th ( the Independence Day). But visiting this national memorial place is quite interesting always, especially for those who know a bit about Polish history or it's way to Independence (the Polish-Bolshevic War of 1920 and famous "Miracle over Vistula" battle). The Unknowm Soldier Thomb is located under saved remains of the Saski Palace which was destroyed by Germans after the fall of the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. This heroic but tragic battle in the capital lasted 63 days, 200 thousand inhabitants lost their lives. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nJyboa-C2627cWg.html

Thanks for video Vic. I have a question? Could you tell me how cold it is there. I was told it’s always cold there, but it looks really nice today. Thanks great video. Also do they do that everyday?

I was there last week and it was 22 degrees Celsius.. It gets warm towards May and it is warm during the summer (around 26 degrees Celsius)

It's like in France now. The weather changed during last 20 years. I'm from Szczecin and we had not winter 7 years here.

To guard the thomb is regardrd as the special recognition for regular soldiers. Normally the guard comes from the Polish Army Representative Unit.
