I was starting to feel that way, but there are two groups I do feel sorry for. One are the older people who have recently lost a spouse or partner they've been with a long time. My Pop was never the same after Mom died. He started looking for a girlfriend two months after Mom died, and we were shocked. I learned that he was almost pathologically afraid of being alone. He finally started going to dances, and when he found someone who dressed like Mom, was similar in personality (narcissist and controlling), and who felt like Mom in his arms, he was a goner. Despite saying he didn't want to marry her, he proposed within months and wanted to give Mom's jewelry, which she'd left to me and my daughters, to her. Thankfully, she refused to marry him or to accept the jewelry. However, that didn't stop her from accepting more than $100,000 in cash and gifts while they were together. It was a nightmare for us!! The other group I feel sorry for are those with low intellect or diagnosable mental health struggles, like the woman in this video. She is s clearly not very smart, and I do feel bad for her.

But I don't think that every single parent could be that way. I work across multiple aged care facilities one of them has 200 residents another one has 90 most often in Australia the system in aged care is different as you have to pay a bond to get into the nursing home and when the person pass away the remainder goes to the children. So in most cases there is some money to be given to the child or children. In one of the facilities I work at mostly wealthy people stay there and so definitely money will be obtained by the children. I know there are parents out there who don't have their children's time anymore because etbey don't deserve it but I refuse to believe that every single one of those over 1000 people I've met are not deserving their children's time .
