I agree, I just cancelled all my channels with Comcast and went with their cheapest plan ($125 a month), and only access to KZfaq, Tubi, Freevee, Xumo, Pluto, and couldn't be happier, plenty of movies and content.

Yes, but it sounds to me like he has had all of this knowledge about Biden's health and competency since before the 2020 election - but he said nothing?? In the 60’S when I stated working, my first job I made $300 a month. I lived at home with my parents. I was able to buy a fairly new car, help my parents with house bills and had money leftover to save. What the hell happen 50 + years later. Who and what caused this enormous inflation. The only explanation is that banks and corporations felt they needed to make more money faster. The biggest problem has been the banks and corporations started charging more and left the majority of the population behind and slid backwards Further and further

I studied Latin and ancient history in my native Italy. Now living in the USA for the last 20 years, I see striking parallels between the USA in 2023 and the Roman Empire in 400 A.D. Both hurtling towards disintegration, and from the same causes. Ambitious politicians deliberately creating a voters base by keeping vast numbers of citizens idle, poor and Welfare dependent. Weak national borders that resulted in unstoppable waves of Barbarians flooding in, all wanting to have what Rome had, and looting, destroying and bringing down a great culture and its institutions. Economic collapse. Law and order disappeared. The great Empire slid into the Dark Ages. Unprotected from the invaders raids, the citizens fled their destroyed cities into the countryside, were forced to place themselves under the tyrannical protection of, and servitude to, a small rising elite of military Lords. For centuries thereafter, 99% of the people were feudal serfs living in crushing poverty. The privileged 1% held absolutely power, but engaged in continuous warfare against one another. Those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it.

Still a very American, Atlantic, Business perspective with huge gaps in the world view. I mean in some senses McNamara and Kissinger thought they could get away with no understanding of the 'south' in the third world and southern hemisphere sense. I mean unfortunately the left in Australia, NZ, Africa and Argentina has always been far stronger and more powerful even dangerous in many, international, strategic ways in the medium term. In many ways the Murdoch's are 'Australian' left and therefore rather too much brought into the China myth in the way and future sense, which is terribly predominant in many parts.

He doesn't seem to understand electoral history very well. By this point I've gotten used to hearing conservatives say things like "X is the most radically leftist since Y." X and Y are always pretty much interchangeable depending on whom they want to slam at the moment. But it's not just that conservatives are confused; they're wrong. If Franklin Roosevelt was such a radical thinker, why did he win a near-record number of voters in 1932? (And more to the point, why did he win by an even larger margin in 1936, by which time Americans knew full well how "radical" he was?) Why did Lyndon Johnson, whose Great Society was even more "radical" than the New Deal, also win by a landslide? Why did so many people vote for Obama (twice!) and Biden, if they're such treacherous leftists? It makes no sense. George McGovern, Walter Mondale, and Michael Dukakis used to be held up as prime examples of why left-wing Democrats supposedly couldn't win, but they never seem to be brought up anymore. Also, after FDR was so successful, why did the Socialist Party of America say that American socialism was pretty much dead from that point on? Why has "socialist" itself been a toxic word since the 1940s? That doesn't sound like a great left-wing PR victory to me! And how can anyone, by any stretch of the imagination, think of Big Tech as "revolutionary" leftists? How would those capitalist titans benefit from either a slide into complete anarchy or a soviet-based dictatorship?

Victor is a Smart guy, his book Mexifornia is a must read for anyone who has a stake in California's survival. But, he's made a career out of blaming other's for issues that neither party has been able or willing to address or solve other than sound bites and platitudes. The problems we're experiencing didn't start in 2020.
