If you are a landlord in California, pray that you aren’t near any of the “grey areas” These are areas that law enforcement refuse to police and generally is where: 1) homeless congregate 2) illegal dumping is found 3) trespassing is prohibited I live near a creek that has turned into a nightmare; garbage everywhere, seedy characters camping, and all under MUNICIPAL signs clearly indicating “NO TRESPASSING” Every time there is an incident and the neighbors have called the PD, the response is always the same... “We know about the encampment.” “We know about the dumping.” “We know about the drugs.”

Happened to me in Hayward Ca Last 2 moving violations 1st was failure to come to complete stop at 3 way intersection. Cop was staking it out Disgusting $ ticket no one else around. Told the cop off! Next was right turn at intersection Camera ticket. Cops will only enforce laws against individuals who can pay. Not about safety Its only about revenue stream.

Hold on Mr. Hanson. As a retired CHP officer I know that, as an organization the CHP receives absolutely NO money from any citations we write EXCEPT from vehicle registration violations. That's how we are paid, from vehicle registration fees (ok, taxes). Money from any other kind of violation goes to the city and/or the county the citation was issued and a small amount go to the state (I honestly don't know what the amount is). To say that those citations fund our retirement and our pay is not true and I have to believe that he knows better.

If you don’t understand the concept of “Order Out Of Chaos” than no of this makes sense. The plan is to make life a living hell to the point where you will accept any solution the government offers with the idea that they will make things better. Humans crave consistency and order which is their downfall. Humans have created their own complacency hell. This is an opportunity for ordinary men and women to rise up and find out they are extraordinary. Some will fold in and mentally collapse but watch out for those that find inner motivation, wisdom, guidance and strength. That’s when things get interesting.

two months ago, I was dropped off on I 10 at a truck stop. I went looking for Grayhound. None was there. So I tried to thumb ride to the 3rd town down the road. When a Highway Patrolman stopped. He called me a Tramp-bum. And threaten to "take my ass" to jail. Anyhow, I did what I was told. I moved back away from the on ramp of I 10. I am 83 years, and WALKed 15 miles to that town. I NEVER want to go to Calif . They can keep their Mexican patrol officer, and KOA!!!

This is alarming and worrisome. The reference to user tax and police enforcement ticketing is a disgrace and visually notable. Wonder if there are references to back up these numbers. The political landscape won't change any time soon and moving won't help. Between incarceration, taxes, and lawlessness not sure where to go. Texas, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, Washington, etc are a no for us. Maybe Puerto Rico when is fixed.

I was a Real Estate Broker in California until 2008 when sales made a large drop. In 2014 The state of California sent me a bill for income taxes in the amount of $5,000? I had not worked in Calif since 2008? Go Figure! The tax lady finally told me it was because I had a Real Estate license and "should of earned at least that much income ? After a hastle with her she finally tokd me the truth that the taxes due was an amount picked from air.... Many of the money makers are leaving California and the state isn't collecting taxes so they are simply making up an amount for the California Citizens to pay it!

I left California in 1989 when I was 20 years old. When I found out my lock blade knife I would only carry with me fishing and camping was illegal and could get me a felony. Well I kept my knife quit my job and moved to Nevada. I'm sorry my native state has only gotten worse.

I've lived in Caliornia for 50 years. It gets incrementally worse in some way (new tax, new gun law, new fee, etc.) every year and in the last 20 years the laws and regulation have become a flood. On my block the houses were built in 1964, owned by people who bought new or were the second owner, and now those houses are owned by the relatives who inherited the houses. I moved here in 2016 to take care of my ailing parents. In the 3 years i've lived here, 9 of the 14 houses have been sold off by the ones who inherited them, 3 in the last MONTH. There's a hundred reasons to GTFO of the Peoples Republic of California and really only one to hang around (weather. Seriously, that's the only good reason not to flee - WEATHER). Every other element to the equation (state taxes, sales taxes, gas taxes, DMV fees, highway congestion, crime, vandalism aimed at cars and houses, idiotic laws, etc. etc.) gets worse not only by the year but often by the MONTH - it almost seems like a deliberate effort by the despotic leadership of the state to actively DRIVE PEOPLE OUT OF THE STATE... i'll put it this way, you could not do a better job at "encouraging" people to flee the state even if you were deliberately trying. Califoronia HAS no future, no matter what the delusional talking head on TV or idiotic politician claims - those who don't flee are certain to see some kind of massive targeted real estate nose-dive, super-earthquake, economic collapse, or maybe even the perfect-storm type disaster that combines ALL OF THE ABOVE - that'll make the comparison of the real-estate crunch of 2008 seem like comparing a speed bump to a massive 2,000 car pile-up, on the same freeway that's jammed up from San diego to Lancaster with stop-and-go 365 days a year!
