He said, "Tell everyone to read from Jeremiah 51:8-15, Revelation chapter 18, and Zechariah chapter 14, where Christ fights against those who possess the earth. After His victory," the angel said, "there will be one flock and one Shepherd. There will be no need for light. The Lamb of God will be the Light. There will be no sickness, no tears, and no deaths. There will only be eternal joy and God will be the ruler. There will be only one language. Only one song. And no need for a translator! ... And, Dumitru," he continued, "a word of warning. If you keep anything from the American people that you are told, I will punish you severely." "How will I know that this is for real -that it will really happen?" I asked. "As a sign that I have spoken to you, tomorrow before you wake, I will send someone to bring you a bed, and at noon I will send you a car and a bucket of honey. After which I will send someone to pay your rent." The next day someone brought Dumitru a bed, and at noon a car arrived with the bucket of honey. His rent was also paid, as God had promised him. Fifty years ago I worked in an American educational institution. Tey had everything blooming. Great campus surrounded with a two fooT wall ( where some would go out and smoke ). To this day ex students look back fondly as the best part of their youth. Now the place is still there and serves the same purpose. However there ore fifteen foot walls topped with razor wier and what was once a happy place is now a sterile and sanitized environment. Violence will only give rise to more, in escalating order. Now there is no turning back. Gold cannot be paid back at the old agreed to rate , and the world will have to pay for the folly of a privileged people's arrogance. Is there a leader with the colossal moral power to turn things around ? Remember it is relatively easy to push a boulder from a mountain top and reek destruction, but it takes effort of an infinitety greater magnitude to stop the rock in mid flight .

The problem with Iranian thinking (granted THAT is a subject as large as the solar system, but I digress) is Israel is not full of devout Jews. VDH said of his example of the four historical military commanders that they were not like Genghis Khan, that they were "men of letters" so they thought deeply how to destroy a culture.. Genghis Khan may not have been "a man of letters" ( though he knew their importance, he employed them in his service ) ..the Khan also knew how to eradicate a civilization. The Mongols eradicated the Khwarazim empire, and it wasn't even in a state of decline but rather in its strength. Of course all these go beyond the realm of men. The destruction of a civilization, the destruction of a nation is ultimately a judgment of God in accordance with His time. And He uses other nations even if they are sinful as well they are instruments of destruction. God knows of the kings and commanders who will do these and He lets them rise according to His time and purpose.

I love your work and purchased one of your books! But I have a complaint! Mentioning Russia as wanting to destroy Ukraine is way off target. This conflict had a solution until Joe Biden and Boris Johnson stepped in and squashed the diplomacy.

Dr. Hanson's analysis is accurate and thorough. His prediction of utter destruction is depressing, but the situation is worse than what Hanson described in this video (if you agree with VDH's framing of the problem, and his proposed solution). At the end of this video, VDH suggests a complete takeover of the federal government by Republicans is required to avert destruction. If Hanson's recommendation - which came across like a Hail Mary pass - becomes reality, it is unlikely to stave off disaster. Recall that Speaker Johnson, a Republican, ushered through bill after bill in the 118th Congress, giving the radical Democrats everything they wanted. Half of Johnson's fellow Republican representatives voted for the bills shepherded to passage by Johnson, as did a clear majority of Republican senators! Please also note that former President Trump has repeatedly endorsed Johnson, so what kind of Republican government are we actually going to get? It is likely to look like the federal government when it was controlled by President Biden and Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Just like all of Dr. Hanson's examples of empires which expected help from their friends right before they were crushed, I suspect the Republican Party will play the role of useless friends to America, while the country is taken down by China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, etc.
