I don't even care how good he is at basketball as a spurs fan, im just so grateful and happy we have this bright and wise young man to play here for us. Genuienly a great guy and one who works hard, someone who can be a great role model. San Antonio loves you Victor you always have a home here.

Totalmente decepcionado. Fiz minha primeira compra na loja oficial Nike e recebo tênis usado. Acabei de receber o produto e abro a caixa amassado e rasgada. O tênis que era para ser branco veio amarelado sem o papel que vem dentro do tênis e etiqueta 🏷️ rasgada. Por ser uma Loja NIKE OFICIAL não esperava por essa surpresa desagradável, poxa vida que decepção. Fica aqui meu feedback muito triste ☹️.

I can't tell if this is a joke but i find it refreshing. He also does clearly want to be the best player in the world, he's talked about his competitive drive before(i.e. in interviews after breaking their losing streak). I think this is a bad example of something not humble, saying you ARE the best player in the world at 19 wouldn't be humble. Or saying that you WILL be. You're conflating humbleness with drive.

I would say part of it is from is personnality but another one is from french culture, it’s really rude to claim yourself you will be the best. It has to come from your action and so by the people around you who will tell that about you. The other way expose you to public crtisism in France . I hope it helps you understand how a freeshly non teeneger is still impacted by French culture. It will be interesting to see him evolve on this acount :)
