Also if you’re a big country NEVER go into bureaucratic deficit! The tax waste percentage looks small but it seems the penalty is applied to the entire tax base, so it can be the difference between a healthy surplus and massive deficit

Yeah, the debt limit is composed of the combined reserves of your businesses. As long as you are using the money to invest, especially in getting the peasants into formal business that can provide you with debt, it should be fine. I find the gold reserves are really more for war rather than anything else.

Its the intrest that kills you. So some debt is fine. Especially for expensive goods. However I always get in trouble when intrest is getting close to my none building excess.

@@johnsamuel1999 It shouldn’t if you manage to grow the economy when using debt, because having Peasants is literally leaving money on the table. If you use debt to build a bunch of cash farms rather than waiting to be able to afford it, you should be better off is what I’m saying.

noticed its easier to figure the game by playing smaller nations. or isolated ones like japan, with little to no industry. so you can easily figure out the ratios of factories you need to be self sustained. and when you enable trading your economy sky rockets.

Also do a mini-mod for the silly underpowered "Protect domestic supply" tariff setting, bump it up to something reasonable like a 40%-50% tariff on exports. It's just ridiculous that other nations can come in and buy your critically needed guns and artillery and ammo and engines, and the only way to stop them is a total embargo!
@Memelord-md5hs
@Memelord-md5hs Жыл бұрын
@Adolf Meyer if your having problems with nations importing from your nation u should try to change ur economic policy I think Protectionism helps as if I remember right it provides a 30% import tariff against other nations And also make sure to select protect Domestic Supply. as it helps to prevent massive amounts of goods u need from leaving from you Also if one nation is specifically reliant on u. U can embargo them preventing all imports from u at the cost of not being able to buy from them(since they usually embargo u back) and it also uses around 100 influence(i think more depending on the nation's size)

Question: Does debt interest go to some pop in your country or does it just disappear? Same for reduced tax efficiency.
@PartyElite
@PartyElite Жыл бұрын
It does go to some of your Pops, yes. The upper strata/business owners will get added income from "interest" while you're in debt. Reduced tax efficiency, iirc, is money that disappears/gets lost by the bureaucracy (but I need to double check that).

Good video but there is one aspect the current meta would disagree with you on. Your thoughts on trying to only build when there is enough money in the investment pool is not sound advice 17:37 . You should always try to be building buildings as long as you are NOT in dept. The only exception is if you are trying to save some bank for a war or some other costly effort.

You can't just jump into things. You need to make sure you have the input goods to be able to do it. When you build it tells you what the input amounts are. Make sure you have those available. And make sure there's enough to keep things profitable. You don't want wood being so expensive furniture is outrageous and your pops can't afford it
@Chiungalla79

Always build at least as many raw material buildings as are profitable. If you generate more demand the amount that can be worked profitable increases. So you need to go back to the building lense regularly to make sure if you can build more.

10:55 "This ends up taxing the rich more..." That's incorrect. Business owners only pay income tax on their wages, and only pay dividends tax on their dividends income. So if both income and dividends taxes are at 20%, a business owner will pay 20% on one part of their income and 20% on the other part, for a total of 20% on the whole. And a worker who only gets a wage will also pay 20% of their whole income.
