I spent 5 hours of my life building only farms and construction yards to see if I can starve the world. Instead I collapse my economy and have a revolution.
No, it just doesn't work.

For This "build", I simply built grain producing buildings, construction sites and livestock farms (for basic fertiliser = more grain!). The result was a pretty nice economy and stable nation at the expense of relying on foreign exports for everything else. Population Growth was great (along with stability) as everyone could afford bread, the problem is that other nation's don't need a lot of grain to remain functional, and so it's almost impossible to "starve" the global market of grain as long as they have a handful of farms to support themselves. I had hoped by feeding their grain at cost their population's would grow exponentially beyond each nation's ability to sustain them without my help. This was wrong. I was very very wrong.

This could have work in multiplayer, indeed for it to work you need grain so cheap that the othe country pops cant work in farm anymore, then the other country need to have all their pops in the industrial sector so when you cut their supplies of grain nobody can work the farm. Howevere ai are so bad the will never build enough industrial building to eat all their peasents.

could have een that once the price went high, smaller countries could sell the grain to the bigger countries.

Seems like you don’t need a lot of grain to feed your pops (just enough to lower prices and stop radicalism, the pops won’t starve), and grain prices aren’t that volatile as everyone can make it, equally, as there are food substitutes such as fish and fruit, starving the worlds food supply won’t work unless you can get the big 3 nations (China, India and Russia) on side to withhold it.

The main problem in this run is that you didnt build railway (idk if it counted as cheating) causing loose of market acces to all your region making it impossible to import basic need for your pop and exporting the grain

Yeah I didn’t build any railways as It would have been “cheating” 😂. What I found as Russia was you would get low market access, high turmoil but the pops would just move to an adjacent province, so you’ed just build more farms next door, and the pops in low market access areas didn’t get too upset as their local food economy was disgustingly cheap, they just generally migrated out.
