For warfare, from my experience to have more troops in combat it would seem 1 army at a time will attack so it may be better to only have 1 large attacking general advancing the front rather than 10 smaller generals

i feel like France is just the strongest nation in the game by far : big population mixed with great technologies/industries, very good army and navy and low radicalisation if you compare it to prussia. So i suppose making france a bit less industrialize at the start and adding a lot more radicalisation (for more classic french revolutions) will slow economic boom a lot and make it a more balance nation. I love the content, keep it up :) !

From what I understand the amount of soldiers you are able to field has to do with the supply/market access to that area from your market. So if you are lacking a solid supply line to support whatever types of troops you have you will have less in battles than you would with a better supply network

Yeah, France seems to be by far the most powerful country in the AI's hands. In my America game I felt like I was doing everything really efficiently and still I was stuck as #2 total GDP as France continued to run away with the #1 spot. The British market should have everything it needs to be #1 but I'm wondering if their dominions don't work together well with GB's primary AI and they don't cohesively build up a strong market

So how combat works in this game is you basically only want a general pulling troops from one barracks because that’s where he gets all his reserves from (which is dumb). So per HQ you want one state with a maxed out barracks and no other barracks in that hq area then have a lvl 1 or 2 general (depending on width in Europe you want a level to generally). That general with 20 or 40 divisions now is always fighting battles with full morale and divisions that are not reduced at all. You basically wear down the other side way faster then their 100s of troops at the borders can deal with and will melt through them assuming same tech level. Wars are so easy once I figured that out. I don’t ever fully mobilize because having reserves is so important I may have something like 500-600 troops but only be able to mobilize 100-200 at a time. Oh all this is assuming professional army as well.

This was my strat as the US lol. Build shit tons of construction sectors first and then just spam everything. You go into massive debt for a bit but your gdp skyrockets and not long after you end up with like 100-200k per month. Even without taxes. You’re hurting bad in the beginning but it becomes well worth it.

Best way to win combat besides tech, and generals is to only use part of the hq units. If you put 100/100 on a front they have no way to get fresh troops. If you put 50/100 them other 50 will replace your casualties fast.

Typically I don't accept trade agreements especially with big countries, because AI tends to import thousands upon thousands of extremely important goods like iron and coal later on when they start to properly industrialize.

Yeah, I don't get the combat system, honestly against weaker armies I just send 60 to 100 troops and let them do their stuff, worked everytime ^^ It's just against armies that are similar to me in strength that I try to outnumber them XD

I tried a campaign with Belgium after watching your video, and its now the early 1900s and i am #1 in GDP in both categories, and i can't spend all the money i am earning, even with 3 pages of construction going. My lowest strata also has a SoL of 23 with the upper in the 40s. I have a reserve of 40+ million and am basically waiting for someone to try and conquer me, even though i am Prussia's B*tch. Unlike this video, alot of countries didnt try to stop them from conquering others.

Being in debt is actually really good in this game beacuse you are borrowing from the cash reserves of the buildings, as well as wealthy pops. Its better that you're investing it in anything rather than it sitting around in the cash reserves. And as the cash reserves expand, your debt will become a smaller and smaller percentage of it so you can maintain massive levels of debt spending by cycling between buildings that use the investment fund and ones that dont.

I played france. became the strongest. fought germany at their biggest while also dealing with spain at the other border and all the north african nations. I won..... germany had more troops. but you get so powerfull tech wise and indutrially that their using skirmish infantry versus your NCO squad troops....

Ummm the only way you can grow GDP efficiently is by construction. Hell in my current Prussia run I literally was on min taxes and max wages and running 120 construction and still making 80k a week xd.
