Victoria sandwich cake recipe!
Ingredients needed:
240 grams salted butter(softened)
200 grams castor sugar
40 grams maple syrup /golden syrup
240 grams self raising flour
4 eggs
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
Method:
Best butter, sugar and vanilla till fluffy/ changed to pale white colour buttercream. About 5 minutes.
Add eggs one a time at a low speed. Do not use high speed.
Then, put flour in 2 batches.
Mix slowly. Low speed.
Your done!
Use a 9inch square tin and Bake at 170 Celsius at 20 minutes-22 minutes. (depending on oven) .
You can use any baking tins , but baking time will not be the same. Please check on this ok!
Berries compote:
200 grams strawberries
100 grams blueberries
50 grams castor sugar(optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla option(optional)
Mix all ingredients in a pot and cook them app 10-15 minutes or till sauce gets thicken. Wait till cool(keep in fridge overnight) or a for a few hours.
Then, layer them on your cake! DONE! 🥰
