I’m always using the tweezers for splinters and scraping and I really have no use for a light but I guess it depends on what you want in your edc

I kept the manager because always a cellphone is a valuable for light

I didn't like the light ended up going back to the manager...

That is my "go to" as well... With that said there are some hard choices to make lol: light? (midnight manager) Allox siding? (No pen)... Decisions decisions.

@@dsimon33871for me it has been a difficult choice as well (well, until they discontinued the Manager I guess). I think if you had to commend one 58mm SAK to most EDC people, you’d suggest either the Rambler or Manager, depending on what a given person already pocket-carried daily etc. For me, I’m basically a ‘one bagger’, focusing almost all of my everyday carry on what I take in my rucksack, so I wanted a completely self-contained all-in-one pocket tool for the basic everyday tasks around the house, since when I’m out anywhere I always have my bag with a larger torch, knife and pen. I found being able to accomplish those 3 basics (pen, knife, torch), plus scissors and file (so a nail care kit), small flat and Philips screwdriver, bottle opener, wire stripper, to be kind of amazing in one tiny tool. So it really depends how you look at it, and what you need in context. Viewed on its own merits the Midnight Manager is one of the most complete (albeit very light duty) pieces of EDC gear I’ve come across. Not a day goes by I don’t use it multiple times. And it’s enough knife, pen and torch for me a surprising amount of the time.

​@@anygoodreviews4196 all of the LED flashlights will be fried, destroyed when an EMP hits them 🔦 You should ALWAYS carry an incandescent type of flashlight as a backup to your LED flashlights and carry a mechanical wrist-watch as a backup to your digital watch ! *Please also research which two-way communication handheld radios cannot be destroyed by an EMP.

You could get the Jetsetter 3.0 @Work. It has the philips, scissors, and a 16gb flashdrive

I don’t think the led is worth it because it puts out such a small amount of light and I’m always using the tweezers for splinters since I always misplace my actual tweezers. It’s nice to always know where a pair of tweezers are, the tweezers are also useful for scraping stuff

@@Berb4336 Happy Tuesday Berb, the LED is useful for finding the lock to insert the key in the dark & other tasks such as inspecting a piece of equipment opened up for repairs, its not meant to replace a dedicated pocket flashlight which I will carry if I am going out at night. Since I usually carry a 2nd SAK such as the 91mm Huntsman or the 91mm Climber or the 85mm EvoGrip S17 I always have a tweezer with me if needed.

@@stevesinclair4159 happy Tuesday I typically carry very light and usually just have my wallet manager and phone which has a flashlight. I understand the usefulness of a led but for my situation it’s not needed. Just how in your situation it is much more useful than the tweezers. Have a good day!

@@Berb4336 As I wrote I always carry a 2nd SAK which has tweezers in its scales so I don't need them also on my default keychain SAK & I rarely use the tweezers anyway and when I am traveling out out of town I carry in my wallet one of those flat pack mini-sewing kits that hotels give guests, in it I have added a tweezer, toothpick & a few plasters ( this is in addition to needles, safety pins & cotton in the kit ) and on holiday I also pack a Swiss Card in my luggage ( never had one seized at an airport unlike the people who think they can pocket carry a mini-penknife & not have it confiscated )

The Tinker doesn't have scissors, or a pen, it is also larger and heavier. The manager is probably a great choice for a keyring.

$41.99 for the manager, $59.99 for the mini champ. The mini champ is well overdue for a redesign. The ruler, small screwdriver and file could all just be 1 tool, and the cuticle pusher is probably just a waste of space for most people. Still a popular choice no doubt, but Victorinox could do better if they wanted to.
