- the Ruike does not have a windshield saw,
- the Ruike does not have a sheath,
- the flat screwdriver/bottle opener/prybar tool is lockable on the Victorinox,
- the Victorinox knife blade does not close with one hand,
- the knife blade of the Ruike has a security when closing and closes with one hand,
- the knife blade of the Victorinox opens more easily and in two ways,

@@soundknight I do not have the VRG 174. The Ranger pliers cannot be compared to the Surge or ST300 pliers, they are much less powerful. The tools are also very different in favor of the Leathermans.

Can I ask, does the Victorinox eyeglass driver that screws into the corkscrew on a SAK also screw into the corkscrew of your Boker Tech Tool?

The ruike is objectively better than the Victorinox. It breaks and cuts through glass with great ease even in the hands of the weak. The victorinox' scales however fking bend under pressure & under heat (the scales deform ridiculously fast near fire). The only thing victorinox does better than Ruike are in-line Phillips and scissors, of which neither are featured in these knives.

Have you broken and sawn glass with the Ruike? I don't see a glass saw on it.

Victorinox's Rescue Tool is designed to go through car windshield, which has a laminated layer to prevent the glass from shattering and keeps the entire glass mostly intact even when shattered. You can't compare breaking a car windshield to a car window or an ordinary tempered glass. They are completely different.

@@tedl1441 You are objectively correct. But I do not see the average layman wasting time trying to implement that glass saw when a car is flipped over and burning. And in the defense of Ruike it never claimed to be a “rescue tool” as Ruike call it the “Trekker”. It just has a fabric cutting feature and I’m sure the saw works somewhat for glass cutting **again not that anyone would try it**.

It's not the size of the blade in cutting, it's the size of the cut in the blade. My vote goes to Victorinox.

I have both and the Ruike uses better steel for the knives. Takes a better edge and holds it for longer. Not a whole lot, but noticeable. Scales are definitely better quality. Not the biggest fan of the carabiner, I think another tool could go there instead, but that’s up to individual tastes and needs. The Vic glassbreaker offers slightly more clearance from any windows it gets used on, but the point of the Ruike does a better job of actually breaking. Ruike is more expensive but it justifies the price increase with better (albeit slightly) materials.

Thanks, there's a lot of Ruike dislike going on. I love my Victorinox (ranger wood + farmer alox) and boker tech tool 8 (ruike built) knives but I think for strength and portability around the house and garden it's the Ruike as my weekend warrior. I like the fact I can pull it apart fully and clean it by undoing screws too.

Yo he utilizado Victorinox por 40 años, y aprecio siempre su legendaria calidad, sin embargo, aunque la Ruike no tiene rompe parabrisas considero que es superior a la Victorinox, hay que reconocer que Ruike se esforzó por hacer una herramienta de mucha calidad, es más ruda, y tiene separadores de acero en vez de aluminio como la Victorinox. Le couteau RUIKE coupe légèrement pire en raison de l'épaisseur de la lame plus grande. Mais il y a un avantage important de RUIKE dans CE" défaut". Les outils RUIKE sont beaucoup plus solides. J'ai pratiquement abandonné le Victorinox à cause du nylon, de l'aluminium et du côté gauche des lames. Merci pour la vidéo 👍

Rescue tool you got is a fake. The hole in main blade is too big. That is the first thing you see if you know this tool.

Victorinox ist hier wieder einmal die überlegene Schweizer Qualität und ist schärfer, der Stahl ist dicker und stärker. Ich trage meine mit einem P7-Aufhängungsclip in der Tasche, um sie unsichtbar zu machen.
