The Ruike Trekker LD43 has a number of siblings but they are all in black G10. The LD43 is designed as a Rescue Multi-Tool and I think it does the job quite well.
If you live in USA or Canada you can get yours for the best price directly from Ruike's factory distributor in Canada: ruikeknives.ca
www.ruikeknives.com/proshow-27...
If you spend at least $100 Canadian Ruike Canada will ship your purchase to you for free. Let me suggest that a good knife for you to consider would be their tanto folder that runs super smooth on ROLLER BEARINGS, the P139 in your choice of Black or Coyote tan G10: www.ruikeknives.com/proshow-29...
If you don't prefer tanto then I think you would probably like this knife as your second choice, the P841-L: www.ruikeknives.com/proshow-29...
If you live outside of North America just search for the ruikeknives website and you will find a way to get one of these yourself.

"You can get this blade under their clothes without stabbing them if you need to rip their clothes off..." My wife was walking by my desk when she heard you say this and without even dropping her clothes basket nor stopping asked me what the hell kind of channel I was watching and started for the telephone I'm certain to call 911. LMAO Since we both know about rescues we had a good laugh... after I tied her down and explained everything.

Corkscrews are not for heavy drinkers , they are for carrying micro screw drivers for people with glasses.😀 I am really happy that your pain is less unbearable this week I missed your nice voice friendly voice.

LOL. Yes, there is that option to have it carry a screwdriver. But I cannot remember the last time I needed to adjust my glasses. 25 years ago I had to do that a lot but not in this century. I am super happy to be back up and running at pretty close to my normal speed. Thanks for caring!!!!

Excellent review on what seems to be a well-made knife. I recently got 2 Ruike folders and found them to be of great quality, but also pleasing to the eye and affordable. I like your review style a lot. You actually demonstrate the usability of the flat blade, the saws and the clip. Specs are nice and it is probably good to verify, but the pragmatic aspects are of most interest to me. You even demonstrated the ease of getting the tools out (the awl being the exception; not awl was well, I guess) and that they were secure when deployed. Keep up the good work!

Thanks. I try to make a point of doing a review the way I would like to see a knife before I would decide to buy it. On regular folders, I almost always also take them apart and show exactly how they built the pivot. I like to see the washers, or ball bearings, etc and I like to respect my viewers time by giving them some solid info to help them make a decision about the product.

Hi Jake! Rescue tool: Ruike is a little late to the party, Victorinox rescue tools and Leatherman raptors are already everywere. At least this model is done right with good specs: glass breaker, main blades accessible with gloves on, multiple carry options, rugged, bright color. Multitool world: I'm discovering the Ruike line of MTs thanks to this video! For knife-based M.T.'s , I'm a Victorinox fan. At about the same price point, Ruike's G10 scales instead of plastic press-fit ones are a plus. Steel is good and sometimes, the tool combination is better in the 2 or 3 rows knives. I think I need to put a Ruike "M series" on my list...

The vast majority of knife companies have some "Rescue" knives and Ruike is a NEW company so they simply could not have made the knife much sooner than they did. For what I can find here in Alberta the Ruike is about 1/3 less expensive. I just saw the Victorinox rescue knife in store yesterday and it goes for $135CAD, and this Ruike is just over half of that. Mind you, there are some other stores that have the Victorinox for a bit less. Different countries have varying prices.

Yup, this is one of the videos for knives that are not at the very bottom of the budget list. I just can't help myself, I have to check out some of the knives that take a bit more saving to get.

Yeah, it is thick and heavy. I am seriously thinking of buying or having a leather sheath made for it, and wear like like one does knives like the good old BUCK 110

Isn't that sandvik the same stuff moras use? I definitely like that steel. I actually kind of like this knife, but I typically carry my pocket knife in my pocket and a multi-tool on my belt so I don't think this is something I can find a use for in my daily life. Maybe to throw in a go-bag?
@CanadianCuttingEdge
@CanadianCuttingEdge 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, the Mora knives often have 12C27. The cooler thing from Ruike is that their regular folding knives mostly have 14C28N which is an even nicer Sandvik steel. This is a PERFECT choice for a go-bag!!

Jake, do you know if the glass breakers can be removed from this or the M11 or L11?
@CanadianCuttingEdge
@CanadianCuttingEdge 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can take them off. I am very sure. But if you take them off it will probably damage them so that the glass breaker will probably have some scratches on the sides. The way to do it is to get small set of vice grip pliers and unscrew them like a screw. BUT, I already gave away or sold my larger Ruike knives with glass breakers so I am going from memory.
@ShortcutReviews
@ShortcutReviews 5 жыл бұрын
Canadian Cutting Edge thanks. I have no need for the glass breaker, but with tip up carry I want to prevent any possibility of accidental scratching something with it. 👍. I think I’m going with the Boker with cabin fiber, they are all made I the same factory, but I am eyeing the county comm one in Orange.
@CanadianCuttingEdge
@CanadianCuttingEdge 5 жыл бұрын
Wait. I found a M21 that I have and at least in this size the glass breaker is not screwed in - it has been peened in place. Which means it is not hard to make loose, but not possible to remove easily unless you take the entire knife apart and drill out the glass breaker pin from the back.
@CanadianCuttingEdge
@CanadianCuttingEdge 5 жыл бұрын
I might just take a good file and file the glass breaker smooth on the top. It won't be easy because it is topped with some very hard carbide.

Why? Are you a Leftie? I am. With many knives, most knives, I would agree with you. But on this thick thing I don't end up wearing it in my pocket at all. I actually took the pocket clip off right after I recorded the video footage (9 days ago) and I have not missed it at all. I am seriously thinking of buying or having a leather sheath made for it, and wear like like one does knives like the good old BUCK 110

is that a ruike trekker LD43 in your pocket, or are you...lol. why are all the other versions packaged with that never gonna use corkscrew(untangling knots maybe, wine bottles highly unlikely)? the only version that i would buy is the LD32B. Where are the prices?
@CanadianCuttingEdge
@CanadianCuttingEdge 6 жыл бұрын
I am always happy to see you, but you would never be able to tell from checking out my pockets... Prices? all over on Ruikeknives.ca - no prices are on the international mfr page ruikeknives.com Americans: best place to shop is on RuikeKnive.CA, yes, I know we Canadians have been shopping on .COM sites for a couple of decades, now it's time for you to return the favour (yes, it has a U in that word) :) Prices are in Canadian Dollars, so your price will be LESS Punch in "CAD to USD" on Google.com and Google will figure out the current exchange rate. Right now a $69.95 AD knife costs you only $54.37USD
