They forced her to do it, she was notorious for getting exact wording off because she had to concentrate so hard on sounding ditzy. She sounds so scared every time he corrects her, it breaks my heart.

Why was the director being so uptight, those words are very interchangeable. 😂 Edit: Someone said the character is very specific in how she talks. So I guess it just had to be precise in order for the line to seem more authentic for the character.

if someone plays a “part” in a film or play, they only play a fraction of it, like if they’re only on stage/film for 1 scene or a couple. someone who plays a “role” is a full on character. They bring some importance throughout the story, while a part only focuses on a scene or so. So they probably just wanted to get it right and not have it incorrectly said or mixed up

The fact that you can tell that Matt looks so done with trying to get the scene done in the actual scene is hilarious. It's even worse because the first take looked great and he had his signature Robbie look going on and then they had to ruin it by being adamant that she had to say part when role is a literal synonym to part.

True. He was also irritated with Ariana because she was repeatedly told the same thing many times, yet she continued to make the same mistake. He was very professional in masking his true thoughts and feelings.

Also, his smirk and eyebrows rising in the final take on the bottom half of the video explains his frustration. His eyes were full of negativity and disgust in the official scene they used on the top half. 😂😅🤣

idk about you but when i think of bloopers in acting i think it’s just a silly little thing and it ends in laughs, but the guy is yelling part like he’s irritated, and everyone looks very annoyed. no one wants to be the reason people are annoyed.

@@Ross1984.Serious, i’m pretty sure, Kids programs during the 2000s were all pretty messed up behind the scenes though. If you want a deeper look into it i’d recommend Jennette Mccurdys autobiography, she talks a lot abt her experience filming iCarly

As an actor, it’s extremely unlikely they would care, but if they did they definitely wouldn’t interrupt the scene. They’d finish it and correct you after. Everything about the production of this show was so weird

There’s a difference between being an actor for little theater shows and prime time television where any deviation from the script requires approval from the network.

@@dragonflarefrog1424 …ok I don’t wanna be doxxing myself so I’m just gonna have to accept that you’re not gonna believe me and that’s ok, but I am an actor. Like, fr an actor. But also everyone who acts is an actor so don’t be so condescending, but I have quite a bit of prime time work under my belt. Edit: and also, just for the record, script changes do not require approval from a network. You film the show with alts and then in editing you’ll decide which one is best. If there’s a major issue the network might make you take some stuff out or choose a different take, but that is reserved for actual modifications that could be deemed inappropriate. Not a synonym being used. And again, even if it was an issue, they’d correct her after. Directors don’t interrupt takes for tiny corrections because scenes and broken apart into different shots and the rest of the take could’ve been perfectly fine and usable had he not corrected her in the middle of it. Don’t explain my own job to me pls

Role and part are literally synonyms. I don't think Ariana needed to get corrected for that. It might not have been the exact wording in the script, but it was close enough. With acting, if you mess up a line but it's close enough to what you were supposed to say, nobody typically mentions it, and the scene shooting goes on. I don't know what Dan's problem with this was, but there wasn't a need for her to continue shooting this line over and over again. She looked pretty scared and stressed at times too.

They use "part" every other time it's mentioned. If they use role for one line in one scene and part every other time it could stand out it a weird way.

if in any case a mistake (blooper) was to be made, actors can’t risk having reactions to it, since- for instance if they’d laugh along at whatever blooper/mistake was made, it’d be a struggle for them to keep themselves composed and go back into character for the retake/moving forward.

What’s concerning is the fact that she looks upset and scared about getting it wrong so many times. I am sure it was frustrating in itself for her to have to try again and again, but it was more than that. You can tell she was worried that she was going to get back lash from the director/ directors for missing it so many times. I don’t understand though bc “Role” and “Part “ are the same. After the second time I’d have just kept rolling and also would have let her know after that it’s okay. She was probably having an “off” day ❤ it happens to the best of us. ❤ look at her now though (even then she was amazing 🤩) but I just absolutely love how far she’s come and am so proud 🥹 of everything she’s accomplished ❤. I literally love Ariana Grande ❤

I don't know if it's just me, but as a non native English speaker, "part" sounds so much better and sounds more clear than "role". In fact, if role was used I'd probably not understand what Kat would have said then, needing subtitles because the end of "your" and "role" sound so similar it kinda blends in in my ears. But again, that's just me as someone whose first language is not English. I tend to struggle with words that sound similar.

Why is no one commenting on the fact these were on predator websites. That’s probably why “the creator” is being so stern about it. Part can be interpreted to mean something else ☹️
