You're discussing getting your confidence back...I just returned to riding after 21 years. It's taken about 800 miles for it to click again. Half way through a ride it just came back, like yeah...that's how you do that. The speed through bends went up by probably 40/50% yet felt slower, and riding in the rain became so much easier. Put the miles under the wheels and don't over-think what you're doing, and just let it come back. Loving the series Richy as always. Your vids are partly responsible for me getting back into it. Many thanks!

Well a week of rain here what could be better watching blue skies,empty roads,with bikes purring along and big smiles, feel good music, the only thing better, doing it yourself. like hearing you talk, a nice soft music score at the back would threaten the BBC, I'm sure you could do it, as a cherry on top, Good job as always (and no five 0 to collect revenue) always a plus. look forward to your next transmission.all the best ride safe Digger

Omg what a surprise . I got out of hospital and new vids . So excited. Beautiful. Nice roads . Your bike sounds heavenly . It can lull me to sleep who needs sheep. My bike is still in my bedroom for me to c. Ot running good chain is rusted from sitting . I have a mechanic coming out to drain fuel emplacement chain it a nice greased new unit . He will @#$% working on my bike in my bedroom . You guys have such great senses of humor. Beautiful skies . Looks like a Sunday with such a lack of people .

Great video as always Richy. I've done the Pico's a few times and the roads and scenery are stunning. (Oh, as an advanced bike instructor I'd definitely recommended Baz do some training to get his confidence back. It would be money well spent).

Ok Richy- Cant lie.. this was AWESOME ! for anyone who wants to know why riding state side sort of sucks 90% of the time- this video is Exhibit A- NO TRAFFIC. You cant go anywhere really in the states, with the exception of maybe North Dakota, South Dakota, and you find TRAFFIC everywhere- semi's, cars.. you name it, you'll be behind it eventually. This is just spectacular to see, and If I can ever get the funds $$ for this.. This is where im headed for sure mate !

What do they do for a living? You must take into acount these are very remote areas. Rocky and steep terrains and tough winter conditions make building dificult and harvesting scarce if not null. Cantabrian mountains has a great amount of protected surface as a National Park, as Picos de Europa are (look at this information in english from the National board: viewpoints, rules, etc... parquenacionalpicoseuropa.es/english/plan-your-visit/ ), as a Natural Park, a type of natural protection with more human activity allowed, but restricted anyway), or as a Hunting Reserve. Sourrounding Picos National Park: Parque Natural de Ponga, Parque Natural de Redes, Parque Natural de Fuents Carrionas, Parque Natural de Saja-Besaya, Valles Altos del Nansa y Alto Campoo, Parque Natural Las Ubiñas-La Mesa, Parque Natural de Babia y Luna, Parque Natural de Somiedo, Selva de Muniellos, Monumento Natural de Ojo Guareña, And the Parque Regional Picos de Europa, an extension of National Park in the Leon Province side. All these parks cover a great deal of Cantabrian Mountains and human population activity is quite limited by law, as protected areas are. The scarce human population has been anchored to these areas thanks to: 1. Tourism. Restaurants, Lodges and adventure activities make money for inhabitants. 2. Hunting. In vast areas you can assist to public auctions in towns in wich a number of hunting-rights are distributed to the bidders. Hunting a stag can reach 5000 euros and a wolf as much as 12000 euros. All these money maintain municipalities staff and contractors. The hunters contract also local assistants to prepare the hunting pieces. Hunting season and touristic season don't overlap. 3. As you can see many cows enjoying roads, there are many more offroad cows. Cattle raising. Diary and meat products. 4. Honey, aromatic plants, mushrooms and other recollection activities. Some people do extra money with theses activities. 5. European fundings. Money has gone to remote mountain areas to mantain population: low interest rate credits and grants resulted in better road comunications and buildings improvement. Tourism bussiness are better for this reason. 6. Some of the inhabitants are pensioners, so a little amount of money comes from the spanish state. I think european funds were diverted to mountain areas as angry english motorbikers did complain of bumpy tarmac in picos and cantabrian mountains. So don’t be fool and symply enjoy the roads and the legacy from nature and human care. Take care.

I think this kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bqycoq-e37O1lY0.html was the first video Richy posted that used this set up, He doesn't do a 'set up' as such but talks about it at about 30 mins in and you can see pretty much from the video the set up he's using.

Richy, off to the Picos again in Oct. I’m struggling to find the episode and proper name location of the Mirador de “something” or other, the one where the group climb a concrete looking stairway / that over look stormy weather out to the coast. Ive not been there. But spent many a happy hour screaming up and down the hairpins by the mountain goat.

Cracking video. Great footage and editing. Please: try el Valle del Pisueña (Pisueña River Valley), in Cantabria. From Santander take CA-142 south, at Vega de Pas take CA-631 and then BU-570 at the Burgos Province side. You will do the Puerto de las Estacas de Trueba (Estacas de Trueba Mountain pass.) At Espinosa de los Monteros take BU-526 and then you can pass Embalse del Ebro (Ebro Reservoir) by the south or by the north side. Enjoy. You will not be dissapointed. Best nearby hotspots in this route: Parque de la Naturaleza de Cabárceno, San Roque de Riomiera, Orbaneja del Castillo (BU-643), Mirador del Ebro (BU-V-5143).....there are hundreds of awsome roads and amazing views.....CA-643 and BU-572 makes the Lunada mountain pass (Portilla de la Lunada). You will not forget it.

In Spain we call it "corzo" and that's why this viewpoint is called "El Mirador del Corzo" (Roe Deer Viewpoint)

@@dmail00 I do jest a little, but am with you on thinking it is a waste of time, I dislike the faff of it and the inability to see the timeline once the video is running,
