Thank God for the caring of the teacher. Dawn trusted her enough to show her the bruises and to tell what her and her brother were going through. She also saw how he treated her when he dropped her off at school. He needs to be thrown under the cell, just like those who abuse children in life. Children are a Gift from God and should be treated as such. I loved how the school reached out and helped the family financially; we need that in our schools today.

Last I heard about a teacher stand up to an abusive adult was 40 years ago when a step mother badly beaten a young boy just because he gotten bad grades. It took a close friend to bring it to the teacher attention why this boy missing so many days out of school. It's very few teachers seems to care about their students and this year I'm praying their be more that willing to help.

I love this video especially when the abuser was arrested. I can't stand abuse of any kind children, adults or animal. Another thing I can't and won't tolerate is someone who uses someone.

such a great story highlighting the true power of teachers. However, imho I would NEVER have confronted the parent on my own. Best to have either security standing by or a fellow admin in the room. As for abuse towards me, I would not tolerate it, I would stand up to them right then and there and call security!
