As someone with autism; This story is so sad; the child never got the help he needed and he took his own life 😭 I want to despise the parents for abandoning him, but when they were crying at his grave, it just broke my heart. People with disabilities are human beings too and they deserve as much love, respect and acceptance as anyone else in this world. To the person reading this; you are a amazing human being and you have so much to offer to this world!🙏🏾🥰

@@Sailormoonfan88 That shouldn't give him an excuse to do it to someone else. You're traumatizing someone else and that's not good. @UCPjWRdmB2ze7XcRaEjW2X4A Let's say you had a family member with autism that couldn't speak at all. And say a caregiver molested them. Unless the act out in some way that isn't typical for them how are you gonna know if they're being molested or not unless you have cameras and catch them in the act?? How can a person who can't speak go to police or a therapist and say what was done to them?? If you watch the Steve Wilkos Show even Steve has said some abusers who molest kids where molested themselves and not gotten help!!! Oprah did a show of men who were sexually abused as teens and children and they were ashamed to tell anyone. It's not right but that's the facts!!! Autism is a serious thing as a twenty-three-year-old who has autism this needs to be talked about for every parent should believe in autism just being in denial or not knowing your child who's turning into an adult might have something that might need help because with autism every child every adult child has a liking for things I like computers and I like video games however outside of me I like my parents because they're the ones that got me over my autism even though I still have it to this day if it wasn't for them I would never succeed in my life and I'm getting ready to succeed on my own please understand autism is not a piece of paper that don't exist this is a serious mental condition care for your child like you do with any other child non-autistic

I can relate to this story my son had difficulty in school and was very withdrawn at times I always thought it was him being lazy and just didn’t care but then I started to realize that it was something else going on. I never gave up on him and I prayed for him and I got him the help he needed and he’s thriving at 25 years old I’m so proud of him. So to all parents out there, don’t ever give up on your children just like God would never give up on us 🙏🏾😊

I can identify with it too. I have 2 sons. Both of them are autistic. They are both in their 20s, and they both graduated from university 2 years ago. Things haven't always been easy. They went through a difficult phase during their teens. My abusive relationship with their father had just ended. After he moved out, my older son became quite aggressive towards me. I clearly remember a day when he threw me up against a wall and pinned me there. He was very upset. An old lady passing by recognised his uniform and went into his school to get some staff members to help me to calm him down. My point is that if I had given up on my boys back then, I would never have been privileged to see them progress into the gentle, helpful, and ambitious young men they are today! For anyone struggling with their child, I'd say to get help. That's what I did. We went for family therapy/counselling. My boys learned how to cope emotionally with their challenges and I learned how to understand them and how to cope with their challenging behaviour. It was so worth it! When I was sick with covid in January this year, they were the ones who isolated with me and cared for me. I wouldn't want to be without them! The first step is doing research to find what help is available. My heart goes out to parents who are still in this situation. Blessings! ❤❤

Before you go kicking your own children out for their strange behavior, no matter if they’re 18 or 88, figure out that there might something wrong with them first, and if there is, give them the proper help and care immediately. You should really get a doctor’s diagnosis before you make any decision that you might later forever regret. BTW, "Abandon" is spelled wrong in the title.

This hit home for me. When I was little I used to get really bad headaches alot. I used to get sick alot. My mother used to say I was faking and never took me to a doctor. A bit after I moved out I got really sick and found out I had a golf ball sized brain tumor. Dr said it's probably been there since I was very young.

Thank you for posting! I just found out that my youngest child (3 year old daughter) has Autism. It's been challenging, but she's a beautiful little girl who knows she is well loved by us all.💟 Keep up the great work Vid Chronicles. I'm a huge fan.🤩 I'm grateful we were fortunate enough to have an early diagnosis, so that we can get our daughter the help & support she needs. It's sad Lucas's parents did not get him the help he needed. In a way, it wasn't there fault, for not knowing he had Autism. But they never should have kicked him out, just because he behaved differently. He's still their son.😥

All I can say is this hit home! Just because a child turns 18 doesn't mean they are grown. As their parents it is your responsibility to make sure that their happy, healthy and protected always. When you become a parent that is role until the day you die. And seeing that they didn't recognize he had some disabilities at an early age seems like they failed him.

Ezekiel, could you handle a special needs child? Losing sleep, getting phone calls from school when they're school age or daycare. Not every parent can handle it and they lose it! turning care to the state or group home is safer for parents at breaking point so they don't abuse the child.

Some Jamaican parents are also like this. Once the child is 18 then they feel as if its ok for them to put him or her out to face the dangers of this world but they are not looking at the fact that they don't have a job and nowhere to go because they were not prepared so how are they going to survive huh?🤷‍♀️

It's funny that you mention that because I thought it was just me who feels this way about Jamaican parents, but you also notice how cold and callous Jamaican parents can be once their kids turn 18 they're just ready to throw them out nilly willy without a second thought and being unhinged by that

Alright good story. When I first saw the beginning of this immediately I was thinking it is a parenting issue but when I watched the behavior of the older child it was clear it was autism. It just shows how parents have to be more tapped into the needs of their children as well as offer proper structure discipline. All about knowing your children as well as teaching respect and disrespect. Great story.

My daughter in law put my granddaughters at last year one just turned 18 and had graduated high school and was waiting on COVID-19 test results, she tested positive. The other one is 21 and in college and army reserves. Reason, she wanted a year separation from my son after 20 years of marriage and with wrongful termination lawsuit money he cleared there credit and paid off the cars he was paying the note on for both of them and my granddaughters told their dad side. She had already threatened my son and moved his things from the marital room to the spare room, so he left. My granddaughters are in college, working and don't have boyfriends yet and mentally they're having problems, please Pray for them.
