A 39-year-old woman has taken her search for a husband to new heights because she is approaching ‘’menopause'' and all her friends are married.
In a video shared on X, the lady lamented that she has been single for a long time and does not wish to remain in that situation any longer.
She even offered to sponsor the wedding herself, urging interested men to approach her.
“I need a husband, I’m tired of singleness. I am 39-years-old. Very soon I will enter menopause. Please I need a husband in my life. No matter what you are doing, I am going to marry you,” she said in part.

When are we going to be honest and speak about the other side of this issue? Single women also yearn for companionship, aside from the way society pressures them, they personally feel that void. And this is a valid feeling! It isn’t going to be filled or replaced by confidence or self esteem! God created us to want companionship and it’s not fair to call people out for expressing this desire. I agree that there’s a need to have enough self awareness and esteem to show your want or availability in a better way than what the lady has done, but the truth must be told that loneliness is real!!! I write from experience, married now for 14yrs but I know how it felt before that happened.

It is really sad that this woman has to down such a rabbit hole. Marriage doesn't define a person, it is better to be happily single than to be in an unhappy marriage. Don't lower your standards. PS. The title of the video should be ...''sponsor the wedding' not the marriage.

Wow, you concluded that she’s unwell because she vocalised her feelings of loneliness?? She may be desperate hence her choice of words or saying she’ll have anyone marry her but she’s also a lonely person and we need to be kinder in responding to these things. I don’t know how old you are but imagine being alone in your mid 40s, not because you choose to but because no one had felt the need to share their life with you? It’s not a great place to be, I can tell you freely. And it doesn’t always only involve lack of self esteem.

I am 27years and I've been single all my life...... singlehood is one of pressurized season especially for women but I've come to understand that marriage is not the total sum up of a woman........ marriage is just one of those things just like education, career and all And if marriage is not yet in the picture, there's so much to God has put in you that you can become I really understand that woman pain and It's my prayer that she will receive strength to find dignity in herself

The society could be exhibiting toxic positivity; what she wants is what she wants her feelings should not be invalidated. It's good to go into marriage with enough dose of confidence and self esteem , it doesn't mean marriage cannot erode these attributes. Moreover, she must be exposed and educated and I therefore believe she has exhausted her options. May God answer her prayers.

It is about time for single ladies to love themselves. This is important for her to eventually find the love of her life. And as a mature woman of that age, she should have build her own identity outside of social validation. Ramatu, for some women marriage is an achievement for them. For example, when you look at the Abraham Maslow hierarchy of need, the level of self actualisation for some women, it is marriage. They think they have achieved alot.

This very important discussion highlights that certain mindset needs to change when it comes when women getting married. Some family member needs to have different new and fresh awareness that not grown daughter time married then what know. Every woman's footsteps are ordered differently from others.
