Because laws do it, sometimes the police have to follow protocols and such protocols were built exaclty as you described, sutpid? Yes it does, but people need to review how laws are made and who is making them and of course those who pass them. In nowadays society, criminals have more rights that average citizens.

go carnivore. you wont believe how powerful it is for autism. If you suffer from it, the diet will sub heal you from the condition. It's not talked about in the mainstream at all. which pisses me off. Look up dr ken berry on youtube, dr anthony chaffee, Dave Mac (no carb life) for testimonies. Between these three, you can get ALL the info and proof you need just how powerful this is. It even got rid of my tourettes, and its suppose to be incurable. I work in the jails, plenty of abled inmates act like this. You can't "talk to" people because they'll take advantage of your kindness and abuse you. It's unfortunate what happened to Isaiah, but the officers followed protocol.

As an autistic adult myself, this is heartbreaking, infuriating, terrifying. I am somewhat more high functioning than this poor young man was, but I see myself in him. Every terrified impulse, every attempt to negotiate or bargain, every bit of confusion and revulsion and dignity that he showed in being offended at their treatment of him. I would be doing the same thing in his position. I would be fighting for my life, as he was. Society has such contempt and disgust for autistic people and it's horrifying to know how little empathy or remorse these pieces of human scum felt as they tortured him to death. I feel broken seeing what happened to this poor kid and I hope his family get justice. Anyone with a conscience can look at this and see it's wrong. Rest in peace Isaiah. These are american cops. The only thing they are instructed to do is hand out speeding tickets and always escalate. There's numerous stories of them being called for someone having a mental health crisis and they just show up and shoot them. I'm surprised this guy even made it to a holding cell. There's a lot of good things about living in the USA, but the cops sure aren't one of them.

@crazychase98 I understand restraint in some cases are necessary but what I find is in many cases police are left to deal with a plethora of mentally ill people because the mental heath system sucks. Police aren't equipped or educated to deal with these situations therefore they restrain them in fear for their own safety as well as the detainees. This should be a wake up call the the government regarding mental health crisis. Otherwise the next wave of patients will be the police officers themselves.

It doesn't matter one bit why they did that, they made a blatantly wrong decision and his mental state worsened to the point of fatal self-harm as a result of that, while they standing there and watching a fellow human being who's obviously having an extreme panic attack and completely out of control of their thoughts and actions die! go carnivore. you wont believe how powerful it is for autism. I havent had a bout of tourettes for over a year now, and even going off the diet doesnt even trigger it. But I don't risk it. I stay on carnivore anyway. all my mentel health problems and diseases, + my obesity is forever gone. The key is to only eat beef, butter, bacon, eggs. And/or ruminant meats., and cook in only animal fats and butter. Never consume anything from plants, to get max healing from this way of eating. It has all the nutrients your body needs despite being told the opposite by the mainstream.

@TheKingmanthe1 His "own freak out" is what caused the injuries that the AUTISTIC teen had. BUT the police treatment for WHAT CHARGE is what caused the boy to be reacting to the treatment he was given. The restraining and no answers to explain to him why he was there. Why didn't the police provide a medical officer to ask him questions!? It's clear the boy had mental health issues and needed help. But they ignored every step of what a police officer is supposed to do here. Which is provide care, safety and assistance to ppl. He wouldn't have hit his head had he been given a moments care to get the meds needed and or have him taken home or hospital. So technically the injuries are absolutely 💯 caused by the negligence of care to the boy/man. He was begging for help in calm moments. And was ignored. He was DIS-ABLED therefore he needed help. Here is the real story, kid was barely 20, mother couldn't handle him so he was on his own spiraling, he was taken in, threw a fit, hit himself in the head, the cops restrained him, to take pictures of the damage because they would be SUED otherwise, and waited until the ambulance came to take him to hospital. That's the real story. The mother knew he wasn't full functioning but he was too much for her, so she let him be on his own under the guised of letting him live his life, and then this happened and she is STILL blaming everyone else for her mistake.

So you're saying that his mother should have been more controlling? Hell no. Autistic people, as well as anybody with any disability, deserve kindness, compassion, and respect. Did you and i watch the same video? I don't know what you saw, but what i saw was a person who was treated with the utmost cruelty and disrespect. Locked away in a tiny, unfamiliar, inhospitable, confining room, all while officers mocked him from the other side... and yet you seem to blame him for acting the way he did? For being terrified and distressed? The last thing he needed was to be confined or controlled. He needed somebody to talk to.

My little brother has autism and I wanted to cry watching this, how Isaiah was acting in that cell was how my little brother acts sometimes when he is stressed and doesn’t know what to do. I would sue the station because if you see someone acting like how Isaiah did you should know they have something going on and if someone ask to talk THEN YOU RESPOND!! If I ever found out this happened this happened to my little brother I swear I’ll never forgive the people even if they didn’t know. I am so sorrowful for that family, my dad is a cop so I never will go againsg a cops in general but if a station was ignoring and treating someone like they did Isaiah I’ll never be able to forgive those people who watched him hurt himself.

One can see in video that the police did nothing wrong, they handled the situation correctly “to the best of their knowledge” (when dealing with the physical aspect of retaining someone). He died from hitting his head repeatedly on the wall, something that he does with his condition. But here’s where the problem lies; the police need more training on mental wellness issues: how to deal with autism, Down’s syndrome, schizophrenia etc… Physically restraining a person isn’t the be-all end-all of the situation. They need to get more training on how to tone down the situation. In this case he wanted to talk, so let’s talk. Mess? Ok. Did anyone call his mom? Why were his clothes removed?! Who likes to be naked in front of strangers?! That in itself would cause issues with most people! My sincerest sympathies to the mother and family who lost their loved one❤

There will always be someone who doesn’t care or understand or doesn’t have time and so on. Like she kept touching me and I hate being touched. She would never understand only touching my hands, so I sadly had to set a no touching me boundary. I have lots of health issues and mental issues myself. She sets her nose against my skin and would legit pet me. This kind of touch makes my skin crawl and I can’t be touched by anyone while in pain. She likes to touch strangers and one time she reached out and started letting this scary biker guy…..my boyfriend and his son were there too….i backed away slowly. lol didn’t want to die.
