Man, it's really cool seeing a fangame that doesn't heavily revolve around Sans or Papyrus.

It’s interesting to see Flowey realize that he’s TRULY out of options. In Undertale’s genocide route, he plays along with you, since you had the save and the power to kill him from the beginning. By the end of the game, he thinks he _may_ have won your favor, so he begs for mercy as a last resort. Of course, we saw how that turned out. Here, though, mercy is off the table. Flowey’s watched you grow impatient with him throughout your run. Without control of the timeline, he can’t beat you, and he’s sure as hell not getting spared. So instead of begging, Flowey accepts that he’s about to die, and spits as much venom as he possibly can in his last moments, hoping to demoralize you and rip you apart. God, this game’s writing is so good.

Asgore: "Your fate was set the moment you entered my kingdom." Clover: "NUH UH"

that flowey bit is honestly genius clover cant save, but he sure can load.

Neutral : You did justice by not giving up and being determined. Pacifist : You did justice by giving up and accepting your fate. Genocide : You did justice by changing your fate by free-ing yourself and the souls.

Something I just thought about is that if Frisk still falls down into the underground in this timeline, they're basically screwed. With Asgore dead and the souls taken beyond the barrier, monsters will have more hatred of humans than before and significantly less to lose. Toriel is most certainly getting French Revolution-ed when she tries to take the helm and impose her "no killing humans" rule, meaning super anti-human Undyne will sieze control. And without Toriel around, Sans has no reason to care about Frisk's life. Basically, Frisk's only hope is that they can get through the Ruins intact, and that Papyrus finds them first when entering Snowdin.

i think it’s interesting that clover is still justice by the end of it all… just vengeance instead of actual justice.

Clover getting like 7 Levels from learning that Axis killed the Blue Soul is great. LoVE is about your willingness to hurt others so obviously after he learns that more monsters than just Asgore killed humans he gains enough determination to inflict pain on all of Monsterkind.

The ending of the battle is heartbreaking.. martlet crying out for help as she melts away into a puddle is devastating, really cool fight all together, I assume most people ( as well as me ) thought martlet would be the papyrus of the genocide run, trusting you, dying in one hit, etc. But making her actually have a fight AND being the final boss was extremely cool.

i cant put into words how hilarious it was seeing flowey slip up, try to kill you, fail to do so, and hesitate when fleeing only to get loaded back into place anyways still. damn. that sprite of him falling to the ground was BRUTAL. i did not expect that

I have been WAITING for a take where the human just obliterates everything and achieves what they wanted, WITHOUT some divine intervention like Chara at the end. Holy fuck.

What I love is the environmental damage that's visible everytime there's a big fight! It emmerses you much more!

Clover is so strong he can shoot 8 bullets from a six notches revolver. He's just reloading it while shooting, which requires an advanced level of skill

If yellow soul breaks Asgore's Trident and one-shot him with death beam... Does it mean that green soul could've cornered Asgore with no power left because of invincible shield and beat up him with frying pan to death?

"Searching for a reason to hate me?" I mean, he found one I can give, despite those humans tragically being destined to die, no monster ever mentions their names. Ever. The kindest ones still remark them as "the humans" and ironically dehumanize them to feel better despite the tragic nature of that. Its hard to not see why justice is committing to taking so many lives when not one of the lives taken is remembered by those who were forced to take said lives. I like to imagine this is what Justice was thinking, and the specific reason they don't mention it is because of how unfair it is for the one who is supposed to die by the others perspective to give them a reason to live. Humans have countless tragedies and criminals that deserve justice, so many that a believer in good could never hope to count them all. In not even being able to remember five names, the monsters proved themselves to be worse than humans. (Edit) Another thing I realized, the only time you can have your character say sorry to someone on genocide route is Martlet, and this is upon introduction TO her, since your character isn't supposed to remember timelines, this implies that, within their brief interaction, something had to be done to make Clover care about her specifically. And the only thing that makes her stand out exclusively, is the fact she actually asks your name.

It’s scary how flowey Finally goes insane in a way that goes in a worse turn for him. It’s like he lost even his mind of trying to be a god because he witnessed someone who could turn his plans around

The fight against Martlet was truly the most impacted moment I have seen so far in this game and definitely was also the most surprising similar to a skeleton with a grin who also had that same surprise. Still though this fight was absolutely gorgeous and blew me away that we actually get to use our yellow soul bullet attack to the max.

Asgore: "Retaliation was inevitable. But I always believed we could handle it." These lines pretty much show just how much delusional Asgore is. Your people nearly got wiped out by just one small human child with a gun. Just what do you expect to do against the rest of humanity when you finally leave the underground?

Clover in this is like Joel from the last of us. He’s killed so many fireflies just to save Ellie. However we don’t really know if it was deserved because he killed a couple of innocents too like the doctor. Same with clover. He killed many due to his sense of justice to let the souls go free. It’s a weird moral dilemma.

i kinda find it unique that Clover shoots Flowey's eyes out before the rest of his body. dont want no peeping eyes looking at your blood-filled soul.

This game is INSANE EDIT: Just finished all routes, the game was def worth the wait, everything about it is amazing, props to devs for creating such masterpiece!

Everyone says this ending is noncanon but I could definitely see this being an initial run. After finding out what happened to the other human souls in the underground and how Axis and Asgore "neutralized" them, it would definitely feel like a sort of vendetta that needed to be fulfilled. But afterwards, after freeing the souls and himself, maybe Clover didn't feel... whole, after this ending? Sure this felt like Justice, the monsters did lead to the other children's death, but it just didn't feel particularly right. In the end, resetting and hearing out what the monsters side was without that shadow of hatred and vengeance over his eyes.

Chara don't even bother showing up, Clover is too powerful

Just realized that from what we know from what happens when someone absorbs a soul, that means Asgore is now trapped inside Clover forever , who has full control of the body because I doubt that Clover is going to share the body like what happened to Asreil and Chara, in a cruel fate Asgore must now live on inside a kid that decimated his kingdom, stole his people future and is now on the surface where his people now are probably stuck underground forever and is never going to see them again while being stuck with his murder for who knows how long. Who knows what mental tolls this will do to him at this point, considering his will at this point, wouldn't be a surprise if this broke him.

This boss singlehandedly made me quit Genocide. I'm saying this as someone who can no save Undertale's Genocide route update: I did no save genocide route in Yellow. Holy shit.

Just to be clear, Chara didn't appear because in the original Undertale, frisk brought her/him back to life with determination

It's interesting that Level of Violence doesn't turn this human into something unrecognizable even at 20.

Asgore's line "Your fate was sealed the second you entered my kingdom", kinda makes me think that maybe Asgore in Yellow knows about Undertale and what happens, since in the pacifist fight with him if you die and tell him that he killed you, he nods his head, he just never expected Clover to do any of this

And yet again just like in the original undertale the hardest boss is a character you wouldnt have expected like seriously the first time i laid eyes on her i simply thought that she will be just like papyrus a complete pushover (in the genocide route that is) but BOY WAS I WRONG

Interesting even Flowey told/thought/hoped that Clover would die to Asgore and then he would reset, so hopefully he would be back in control of the timeline. But... Even he didn't expect that ending where Clover finishes his mission and leaves. Completing his mission and moving on with his life Undertale's Yellow genocide was justice, while Undertale's genocide was vengeance.

A bit of trivia- Martlet, mechanically, has stats that outdo Undyne in pretty much every serious fight. Martlet has 12 AT and 8 DF during the first Genocide fight- Regular Undyne has 7 AT and 0 DF mechanically. Zenith Martlet has 25 AT and 40 DF, while Undyne the Undying has 12 AT and 5 DF mechanically. And before you get on my case about HP, Undyne the Undying has a modifier where all damage she takes is multiplied by 21. As such, her true HP total is 23,000/21- if rounded up, that would be 1096. Zenith Martlet has 1800 HP. And no, I'm not counting the date fight with Undyne as a "serious" fight. Frisk was very clearly unwilling to fight seriously.

Does that mean the six previous souls (and Clover in pacifist ending) died the same way, sacrifacing their soul instead of going to fight Asgore. I used to think that Undertale and Deltarune were slandering on Asgore too much but this honestly made me rethink that. I think I hate Undertale Yellow Asgore now...

Seeing Flowey get gunned down was brutal

This boss was like fighting sans for the first time but on drugs. The amount of perfect timed dodges you have to do to avoid attacks is fucking insane. Though i must say the rest of the ending was really satisfying. Asgore being all confident and thinking this will be at the very least an equal battle before his trident, probably the most powerful weapon in the whole underground, just fucking shatters upon MERELY TOUCHING, **THE MOST VULNERABLE AND UNDEFENDED PART OF THE HUMAN**. Then he gets reduced to dust along with his throne. Great shit.

I was GOING to complete this fight without spoilers but according to people it has no checkpoints and I’m not insane so here i am to see how this fight ends.

Not only is there no Sans or Papyrus, there’s original characters you can care about

Don't hit me but i prefer the genocide ending by far. Clover is alive and he got the humans souls so he can escape with them and bring them to their home. I totally imagine Clover saying to the human souls : "come on guys, let's go home.." In a badass and calm way like if he can understand them with full empathy because of their suffering. And the human souls will be like "🥺💝✨".❤

probably the craziest bit is Clover gaining 100 HP instead of Chara's 99. chara's all about the numbers. 9's the biggest number. but clover? he's all about 100, 100% eradication

honestly good riddance, just got the genocide ending after beating the other endings and honestly the fact clover is constantly being strung along, lied to, attacked and betrayed while still suppose to be some sort of pacifist messiah only to die for almost nothing in both pacifist endings is ridiculous. This ending just felt like a relief, finally a good ending for Clover...and finally we got to kill that damn flower...again.

This gives me a thought now.. what if you didnt let flowey have fun? What if you didnt SAVE, or LOAD or even DIE ONCE. HOW WOULD FLOWEY REACT???

If this timeline continue and frisk fall into underground this will basically become horrortale but with frisk as main character

A nice little detail that added is that the rooftop you fight Martlet at is now in complete ruins do to all the crossfire.

W game, if asgore hadn't died geno might've been cannon as he couldbnt bring the souls thru the barrier anyway, but I can tell pacifist is the true ending nonetheless

(just casually reposting + editing my comment from the original game's geno ending vid to here) so, looking back at the original undertale's geno ending and comparing this to that, notice how clover's significantly more violent than frisk here? i'm probably just putting my headcanons but despite what kinds of monstrosity & sins they committed, clover only did it for justice; THEIR own twisted sense of justice after all, they reached lv19 when axis admitted they neutralized a human (albeit by force), so they were pretty much going all out to make sure they stay dead and so will the others later on frisk however never felt such strong emotions, as they were already too powerful, so they didn't made much effort other than to do some slice n dice here and there that reason is why asgore wasn't hesitant to attack clover; while asgore mistakes frisk as a monster (metaphorically) frisk had no reason to do this, while clover on the other hand did it for justice, hopefully easing the 5 other souls with them as they left the underground interesting how much of a difference they both have

I know in the grand scheme of things is secondary but killing flowey with his "bullets" is soo...SATISFYING???? I dont know how to put nor have exclamation points.

i always preferred the genocide and neutral endings over the pacifist ending. the genocide and neutral endings are just so much more badass compared to the pacifist ending. i see a lot of people talk about how sad ceroba's backstory is, personally i didn't really care. it was her fault her child fell down. her final boss fight in the pacifist route also dragged on for an incredibly long time and i thought it was kind of funny how the devs had the nerve to use the "hopes and dreams" leitmotif in the final phase of her fight when it just felt kind of unearned. i struggled with trying to care about any of the characters in undertale yellow. there are no moments where you actually hang out in service of getting a better ending like there are in undertale proper. the feisty five stuff is not optional, it's obligatory and kind of annoying to sit through on repeat playthroughs, and you never really see any of them again except for starlo. i also think the martlet fight at the end of the genocide route is incredibly unfair, at least the second phase. it could be argued the whole point of the fight is to be unfair, but it felt less like a challenge to be overcome (like sans) and more like a test of how many times i could press the X button. the pattern of her attacks in the first phase is somewhat predictable, but in her second phase her patterns are completely random, and are impossible to anticipate and very hard to dodge. even with infinite heals from enduring i found myself getting incredibly annoyed at how unfair all of her falling block attacks were because of how janky the dash was. i also found the big laser attack to be completely useless. using auto-fire is the only way to beat this fight so that you don't have to split your attention between trying to dodge and also holding down the fire button. the absolute best part of undertale yellow was flowey's character. it's another reason why the neutral and genocide routes were my favorite, there was just more flowey in them. he got incredible characterization for both routes and i was always interested in hearing what he had to say, and it was very satisfying killing him at the end of the genocide route.

Very satisfying ending to my taste.I didn't like the true pacifist ending, even if it seems canon. In this one, Asgore got what he deserved. Toriel calls him a "miserable creature" for a reason. Asgore could have made the sacrifice and use his soul to free his people. BUT instead, he took not one but FIVE human souls. Children souls besides! Because he was too cowardly for the ultimate sacrifice. If sacrificing innocent lives, children lives, is required to break the spell, then these monsters are not worth it. So this ending is true justice. Not only for Clover, or those human children whose sacrifice was not necessary (at least 4 of them, that is...), but for the monsters too. Also, Asriel is finally put out of his misery once and for all. This also why I preferred the neutral ending in the original game.

(spoilers mentioned) All of the gruesome deaths, Clover being absolutely horrifying in Genocide, the terror/sadness expressed by enemies in their final moments, Flowey's insane breakdown when he realizes he's about to die, everything that happened in Neutral, Martlet straight up melting for god's sake. I mean, plenty of the seriously dark moments in UTY have had some Omori level scares without even necessarily being a horror game. Plus, Flowey's increasing concern and even poorly-veiled fear as Clover grows more and more unpredictable and dangerous during the Genocide run had me feeling a little bad for him having a feeling what was going to happen, even despite what the little bastard pulled in Neutral. When I first started playing this game, I'm so damn lucky I went in completely blind. Had me blown away completely from just the sheer quality of... well, everything. The gameplay, the writing, and of course the horror aspects in Neutral & Genocide since I'm a sucker for stuff like that when I'm least expecting it. Awesome game.

When I finally beat Martlet, I was so happy. But then the death was, upsetting.

I was so... SO CLOSE to calling this game a masterpiece. The genocide route is significantly darker than the original game, you SEE so much more compared to the original, and you do so much more damage. But once I saw the second phase, I just gave up on the game and decided to watch the end on KZfaq. It already had taken me over 2 hours to beat the first phase, and once I saw the second one, I realized this suffered from Last Breath-itis. Having multiple phases doesn't make your boss better. If it ended after only one phase, I would've given this a 10/10. But imo, just play the pacifist ending, if you don't want to struggle with unfair boss fights. Pacifist - 9/10 (A certain someone had too many phases too, going to just avoid spoiling THAT.) Genocide - 9/10 (until second phase, where I just dropped it.) Before you flame me or whatever you want, I don't dislike the game. I still love it. I just, hated the end of the genocide run. And this is just my opinion. So please take what I say with a grain of salt.

Man, I wish I could have finished this battle in my no mercy run, but for some reason in this fight I have some pretty severe performance problems that make it difficult to dodge attacks, especially the claws, it's strange that this is one of the few moments that I had this problem, one of the others was in the cutscenes of the ceroba fight in pacifist but because it was just that I managed to finish it, honestly I don't know if it's my PC or the game, but for now I've abandoned the no mercy route and I'm doing the neutral route in the hope of not having the same problem.

SCREW… THIS… BOSS! I keep on dying to her in phase 1 cause I have no idea how to properly avoid her attacks.
