Music - Automatonofobia ~ Eerie Melody [Cortex Theme Remix?]

I originally planned to make this half Cortex remix and half original but this is what came out.
Automatonophobia is the fear of anything falsely sentient through artificial intelligence (so robots). I think it's a fitting atmosphere for before facing Cortex deep into his castle.
also yes I'm a composer for a hobby though it doesn't interfere with my other projects so don't worry.

I think being a composer fits to also being a modder, you are probably the only one planning to do custom music. That's the thing I am very excited to see (hear) in your mod

SGM-V2.01.sf2 for the win! nice one, I really like the marimba and pizzicato + choir parts here

I didn't just use SGM for this track, the choirs use another soundfont. I've also got my hands on a synthesizer so I changed this track a bit after uploading.

I know it isn't all SGM, I just recognised the drums and pizzicato which are one of the best ones I've seen in free soundfonts

Thanks! I actually made this in some few hours (though that's probably because I'm reusing melodies) and I'm quite happy with how it turned out. It sounds just like I envisioned it.
