Man, our finishing sucks! And we are incosistent sometimes. But in all, Shin Tae-Yong has put Indonesia in a right direction, and with six more naturalized players of Indonesian-descent, I have high hope for the future.

I lived in Vietnam for most of my life and had a big passion for football and watched all of the games with my dad but I ended up moving to Australia and the basically non-existent football culture there + the pandemic really drove me away from the sport but thanks to discovering this channel last year I was reminded of how much I have missed out on and how lucky I am to come from a country that really does have a love for football. I have started following the sport more now. I didn't know Park was leaving the team until I watched this video and its quite sad but he will always be an icon in Vietnam + will never forget how many times I have seen him in an advertisement.

I was never a big football fan but it was kind of a constant part of my life because of my dad (he's a player in Austria). Thanks for for covering AFF Cup. SE Asia football may not be the best but is highly entertaining and passionate. I have been following AFF Cup since late 2000s especially when Philippines was doing well. Now Philippines is in low point and is on slow rebuilding stage. Vietnam has done really well representing SE Asia football the past few years. Thailand is always competitive and fun to watch. I just love the heated banter among the fans during AFF Cup.

It could be worse, imagine being Filipino after getting Gerrit Holtman to join Etheridge on their national team, only to lose 3 out of 4 of their group-stage matches in this competition and fail to qualify for the Asian Cup while multiple dual-internationals are now questioning if this is the national team they want to play for.

I saw on Reddit that the tournament was going on. I just saw some goals and who won but nothing more. Having a review from a Vietnamese is great because it allows us to discover more tournaments. Also, interesting to see that Internet wars over football is an international thing. Neither side holds back and I wish it will never go beyond that because violence is nasty. I'm French with Comoran origins. Just like you, besides my country of birth, I also support a lot my country of origin. We had our moment last year during the AFCON and we reached the second round, beating Ghana 2-3 during a crazy game but losing to the hosts Cameroon 2-1, which angered me a lot and I barely slept that night but the following day, it was better. My country has also a lot of issues such as corruption, violence and witchcraft (I saw it with my own eyes). We're also in the process of rebuilding and we all hope to do better at the AFCON. As for Vietnam, I don't know much but I wish you can win the Asian Cup and even qualify for the World Cup. A Comoros vs Vietnam in the USA would be a game I wouldn't miss. Or France vs USA, Who knows?

It is weird but as a Lebanese I am interested in Vietnam's growth, we are close in FIFA rankings and performance in Asia is comparable. It is going to be interesting to see Thailand in the WAFF tournament in march as well.

Singaporean here who followed the AFF extensively! Went for the Finals at both Legs and it was a great tournament all around. Vietnam felt lifeless at Thammasat Stadium. Their usual pressing was good to see but they lacked the technicality that the usually show the past 1 and half years! If you watched the Vietnamese National League or V-League. You would know that Phạm Tuấn Hải is actually a monster of a finisher check out some of his high lights and you would know. He is the top domestic scorer of the league, suprassing Tiến Linh. Overall he's really passionate and never give the ball up easily, he's good technically as well despite a rough looking build. Personally I think he will be a key player in the Vietnamese national team moving forward. Watchout for him in the future.
