Vietnam: Night train, visiting Hue & motorbike scam...?

I took the train from Hanoi to Hue as I made my way down Vietnam. In Hue, I treated myself to a 4 star hotel (for a whopping $40 :-O) and spent time at the Imperial Citadel and otherwise just relaxing!

Hi, it was great to see the citadel and city of hue. All of my knowledge is from documentary on the tet offensive. All the guys I know from that era say how nice the people were, and what a beautiful country. Plus watching the Englishman on top gear entertain me on their motor bike journey

So did you get the train to Danang? That's pretty easy. Then you can get a van into Hoi An from there. Train takes you through Hai Van and if rain not too bad you get a spectacular view.

I took it all the way to Hue and then took a car to Hoi An because of the rain :(

You should google "the battle of Hue", huge battle that involved American soldiers and Marines. I have noticed your tone and demeanor have changed since Cambodia. In Cambodia you were excited, upbeat and happy. In the last few videos in VN, you seemed cautious (understandably from your experience with potential scammers), not upbeat and tired. Maybe the long journey is wearing you out. I do commend you for being adventurous.

yes - I was getting very tired! But appreciated the opportunity to travel and see all those things no less
