@@xiabuhaomeigguerenCool! I have a late war original green VC uniform (the ones from the fall of Saigon). But it’s sadly a tad too tight for me. But I’m very happy to have it in the collection. I hope I can get a repro in a bigger size in the future.

@@xiabuhaomeigguerenI agree to you sir. Finding Vietnamese uniform is quite hard here in Thailand unless you know or got connection with actual Vietnamese people. I once bought several uniforms from Mr. Huy, one of the reenactor from SDMI.

It is sad to see most people here has to make both PAVN and ARVN uniforms from scratch with Chinese uniform and US as they really have no idea how to get an actual one or accurate repro and I wish I could help them to get to know SDMI and people in Vietnamese reenacting community

as a Vietnamese , I 'd like to say that The South Vietnam government did very good in national development , but they did a lot of mistakes in politic which greatly contributed to their downfall.

Hmm, then why illiterate rate of South Vietnam was extremely high? Also, can you explain how tf land reforms in SVN were executed extremely inefficient, while it was a critical goal in national development? In my perspective, SVN was a total failure of the US. They made a puppet that cannot do anything on its own.

What development ? Only place that truly developed is Saigon go out of Saigon and only thing that develop are road which need for transporting of troop and that it. Other city in south Vietnam are more like town then city from a born in Saigon and travel most of the south and central region btw 🤣

It's a shame the North Vietnamese broke a peace agreement and invaded the South. At the end of the day Vietnam is now more capitalist than ever. So the sacrifices of the South Vietnamese will not be forgotten. I could only image how much more advanced South Vietnam would be if it wasn't invaded. A miracle country like Taiwan or South Korea? We could only dream.

It was the Americans and Diem that broke the agreement by negating the elections because they lost…
@Krasnoye158
@Krasnoye158 3 ай бұрын
lol the South broke the Geneva convention and did not hold an election which was due to unify it with the north in 1954... Btw, America is the most unreliable partner in the world, they break agreements whenever it is more profitable to do so for them.
@Krasnoye158
@Krasnoye158 3 ай бұрын
And btw, the US, too eager to pull itself out of the war, promised the south support just to make them sign the Paris agreement, but when NLF advanced on the south, the US basically bit their promise and watched the south fall. A dishonorable betrayal. The point of the Paris agreement was to make the US get out, nobody cared what SVN thought about it. The agreement mandated that the US get out and NLF stayed in the south (unlike Geneva). The US tried to bomb Ha Noi to change the agreement but to no avail. The signed agreement was basically the same as the one before the bombing, minus US reputation in the international theater... Once the US got out, NLF is free to liberate the south. In the end, the US broke the Geneva convention and it cost them 20 years, and soon, their empire.

I would have mixed emotions about going over there. I love history. But I do not like Communism. And Vietnam is still fresh in my memory with my father’s generation fighting and dying over there. I was on the fire dept with a veteran that had to hide every Fourth of July. PTSD. I would probably end up in jail for defending the U.S.! 🤣

Lmao bro , you didn't even fight in Vietnam 🤣 it your dad. You like it or not it doesn't matter or better term will be : it none of your business ( very american way to stay it right ? ) what system we chose is our choice.
