Applied without health insurance, got the visa. A friend travelled 2 days back, didn't have insurance, no problems. Although I do intend to get it before travel because I always do. But it doesn't seem to be a hard requirement.

I initially tried to get the new 90 day evisa on 1608. Got an error message following week where I had to fill in my full name. Did that and used the update button but it didn't work. Got the same error message 3 working days later. Super buggy. Gave up on the new evisa and applied for the old 30 day evisa which I've never had an issue with. My orginal trip was for 48 days but had to trim it back to 22 days. Not good for Vietnam tourism.

You better go to China then as soon as step in China you will be watched by police because you are white European or America , you never know when they arrest you as a spy but not in VN you are freely doing what you like as long you don’t break the law and don’t do any political activity . That is a lot better than go to China as everywhere you go today they are watching you . Can you comfortably with that and enjoy your holiday in China when big brother constantly watching over you ? 😊

A lot of comments suggesting that Vietnam have made it harder for visitors but they have in fact actually made it a lot easier. 45 days entry without visa from just 15 is a massive increase. And what is not mentioned in the video is that previously 30 day visa was for single entry only and now the 90 day visa is multiple entry, which is a huge positive! I think it is great that Vietnam have improved and increased their entry limits, as it is an amazing and beautiful country that I hope more people visit. (obviously the 45 day visa free and 90 day visa is specific to certain countries)
@duongglobalbusinessconsulting
@duongglobalbusinessconsulting Жыл бұрын
"they have in fact actually made it a lot easier". This is incorrect. If the length of stay is increased, that does not make the visa easier. That is just adding duration. Not to mention that the 15 to 45-day increase is just limited to 13 countries on visa exemption, as our attorney talked about it. It is for sure great and convenient for people who qualify. But that does not make the visa application easier. We already have mentioned the proposal to extend from 30-day single to 90-day multiple entry in an earlier video. But this video is in reaction that the actual unexpected amendments that were not in the proposal. Thanks for watching!

If you're a US citizen and was born in Vietnam and never had a Vietnamese passport and are looking to get a Vietnamese passport, you must carefully read US immigration law relating to become dual citizen of another country. Especially for those refugees migrant that came to US and became US naturalization citizen and now trying to applying to become a citizen of another country, in this case your own birth country. This will revoke your US citizenship. While if you are previously immigrated here whether under family sponsor or spouse, you are likely already have a passport from that country. US immigration doesn't have a law to force anyone to revoke their own citizenship which mean you can have dual passport.

What happened. We are on a tour of the SEA region but since I am with a 3 yo and a pregnant mother, I thought we'd better visit those countries with easy entry, ie no prior visa application or fees to pay or separate queues at airports, like the one when paying the $25 dollar or so at VN Airport. So we have just done the Philippines, now in Thailand the Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Any hoop to jump under our circumstances is a deterrent, we'd have loved to visit Da Nang and Hoi An.😢

@@afrivox What happens with Viet Nam is they change the entry requirements constantly so there are a lot of web sites with conflicting info. After investigation and due diligence I bought a flight to Saigon from Phuket thinking I would buy my visa at the point of entry. Turned out that if I wanted to take that flight they would charge me 300US$ for an emergency entry visa. I don't like being toyed and screwed so I happily spent the rest of the winter in the Phuket area and I was absolutely delighted. I'll go maybe another time but not this winter anyway. @@marcoprolo1488 Last time I was in Vietnam, before the pandemic, I got late for an appointment because of that queue to pay the $25. Of course it was partly my 'fault' cause I shouldn't book things so tightly BUT thinking about it, we decided against Vietnam because of the added trouble of booking visa online, printing the damn thing, paying 'something' and queuing at the airport for the actual visa. In other countries we decided to visit, it seems a lot easier : Ph, Thailand, Malaysia so far. Please not that I am with a 3 yo and a pregnant lady, so. the less friction, the better. I would have to do that water thing in Hoi An but judged it wasn't worth the trouble.

Vietnam is constantly passing new laws to squeeze money out of tourists and long-term visitors. This country is overly complicated in all processes with often no clear regulations or centralization. It seems they sit in Hanoi and think up unnecessary laws that make things absurd and more difficult for visitors and foreign workers. This country deserves NO foreign help from my experience living here.

Digital Nomads are backbone of modern economy, what happened to attitude to digital nomads in Vietnam? In most countries digital nomads are the most welcome audience. They bring money, most of them register new companies or become investors and they are very loyal to the hosting country. Tourists don't really care about environment in the country they rest. Also, they already spend most of their money on the tickets, they are empty. Whats going on?

Why is it possibly bad when all the requirements you mentioned are standard which neighbouring countries would similarly ask or require from visitors? It's just the same thing that other countries have been doing and Vietnamese government is not doing anything different. Your business is to provide service to those who need but it would be nice if you don't make it sound like the government is making it harder for visitors. @juanantonioquiroz9570 , for six-month multiple entry tourist visa, Thailand does require to provide a bank statement. Vietnam does not. Does that perspective meet your exacting standard? Like any other country, Vietnam is a sovereign nation and chooses how long it welcomes its guests and what requirements they should meet. Whether, it satisfies the guests, this is another story. Thus, perspectives matter to understand the whole picture. Take it as a business where companies can choose who to do business with and how.

¿Wouldn't it be better to get a certificate of visa exemption if you're married to a Vietnamese? I got one that's valid for 5 years and it's better and cheaper than a visa.
@duongglobalbusinessconsulting
@duongglobalbusinessconsulting 7 ай бұрын
it depends on your intentions. The 5-year visa exemption is just a glorified tourist visa. The relative visa allows you to get the residence card for a long-term stay without border runs. You will also be able to do more with the residence card.

I don't remember ever needing to do that or I just completely forgot lol.

But you just said that our video is misleading but what misled you is the website of the visa agent you used. We are a law firm, so we do know all the requirements. If you have paid a premium for your visa with missing information that your visa agent made up, it does not mean that it is either accurate or legal. We appreciate you share your experience, but labeling our video as "very misleading" is wrong.

@duongglobalbusinessconsulting
@duongglobalbusinessconsulting Жыл бұрын
It is not compulsory to have it. It is just mandatory to disclose whether you have it. Second, if you have an accident. and hospital fees are too high to pay, it creates unnecessary issues to deal with if foreign travelers don't have health insurance that covers their vietnam trip. Third, with the multiple entry visa, you can enter/exit the country as many times as you want provided that you don't live in Vietnam indefinitely under a tourist visa.
