Both of them did an incredible job and are the only/main reason to watch this movie imho (the rest of the cast is great too but didn't get the chance to shine as much as these two did in this one!)

It's aggravatingly unfortunate that WB acquiesced to China's censorship of their intense, romantic past, because it's really the core emotional driver of the entire franchise. It's doing all the heavy lifting in terms of emotional impact, and it's clear the franchise will culminate in that huge, conflicted fight between these two men who clearly still care about each other. Yes, it's Newt's story, but he's largely the audience surrogate at this point. He provides a grounding, focal character for the series, as well as the titular humour and and actual fantastic beasts part of it. But his role is not to provide the emotional driver. Dumbledore/Grindelwald's relationship is marketed as an "intense relationship" in China when the film was being promoted. Even here, the actors have clearly been briefed to use the same language. I understand that financial realities make cutting out the entire Chinese market absolutely unfeasible, but WB has such a great platform here. I do hope they continue to push back, and I believe Marvel has already begun to do so. As I recall, they recently declined to censor a F/F relationship in one of the movies or shows, can't remember which.

I think WB could do it like Disney/Marvel (declining China’s censorship) only when their films financially do as well as Disney’s haha. It’s unfortunate that WB went along with China’s requirements, but it’s also necessary for the franchise to continue. Definitely agree with you that the core of FB franchise has switched from Newt’s adventure to GGAD’s relationship. No, actually, it has always been about GGAD, the name of the franchise is just...poorly chosen. It could be the name for an independent movie with Newt as its protagonist, but as the storyline goes on and becomes way more serious, it should be changed into something new to represent the core of the films. About the interview...I always think that it was released exclusively in China (before it was used again in Japan) because WB wanted to make sure that Chinese fans understand the essence of GGAD relationship. They are good at picking up the hints, you know =)))))) P.a: I believe the movies you mentioned are “Dr. Strange MOM” and “Lightyear”

@@bedethuong142 tôi mới xem lại bộ đó mấy hôm trước này. Hồi nhỏ coi thấy hai ông hài hước , giờ coi lại thấy chemistry thiệt là vượt mức cho phép, lời thoại thật là vi diệu, RDJ vs chú Jude tương tác trong các phỏng vấn cũng siêu vui 😆

Cuối cùng hai chú cũng có phỏng vấn cùng nhau...Thực ra tui cũng không dám hy vọng quá nhiều, vì mọi người đều nói FB3 lắm chuyện rắc rối nên các diễn viên cũng không tương tác nhiều (cụ thể là hai chú của tôi). Quèo, nhưng đời đúng là nhiều bất ngờ. Một sáng tháng 4 bình thường như nhiều buổi sáng khác, tôi lượn lên weibo và đã thấy hai chú...Đù má, chung khung hình? Đù má, không phải photoshop đấy chứ? Đù má còn có vid này...Vừa sub vừa gạt nước mắt. P.s: ai đó hãy ngăn hai chú lại được không ạ?! Tuy rằng video này đã rất tiết chế (vì là pv cho thị trường Trung Quốc - các thím biết FB3 phải cắt cái bí mật to đùng của phim để được chiếu rồi nhỉ?) nhưng mà chồi ôi...Chú Jude...lông mày chú nhếch lên phát nào là khúc đó thính bay tứ tung, mấy chữ “trọng điểm đây” xuất hiện trong không khí luôn. Còn chú Mads thì có kiểu nghiêng người nghe đối phương nói rất chi là đáng yêu. Câu trả lời của hai chú thì miễn bàn =)))) 10 điểm về chỗ lol.

Ối giồi ôi, tuần trước tui vô tình thấy đoạn cut của cái pv này trên douyin, tui căng con mắt lên để xem nó có phải hàng ghép không rồi lại lục tung hết cái gg với youtube lên để tìm nhưng vẫn không thấy huhu- Giờ mới biết nó độc quyền bên Trung hicc, cám ơn cô rất nhiềuuu

Mads I think the film makers should stop casting you in roles as the villain & in gay roles. It can't be good for you as a person. I really wish they would give you a role as the good guy like your Danish country has. That's what brings out the best in you. Eg. Another Round. I agree that Method Acting is bullshit. You can take it too far! otherwise you may end up dead like the Australian actor Heath Ledger when he played the role of The Joker - The evil darkness of the character took over his soul - very dangerous!!

Hello, Jenny. I generally welcome comments, but yours is a bit off topic. First of all, please remove the comment on Heath Ledger - he was not mentioned in this video, and he shouldn’t be use as an “example” for how method acting affecting actors because he was not. Secondly, Mads is not someone who would take every role offered to him without consideration, he plays villains and gay roles because he wants to. And yes, as you mentioned, Mads is not doing the method acting bullshit. I can’t recall Jude’s exact words, but he said in some interview that although Mads played villain, he actually was very funny in real life =))))

Seconding what MyDuong already said - also, OP, your statement reads as though "villain" and "gay" are equally destructive, which is not okay. Whatever Mads' sexuality is, playing a gay person does not make him more or less gay, and is not evil either.

its much more fun and more challenging for actors to play the villains. he doesn't seem like a method actor anyway he's always himself when they cut he can switch it on and off easily and he's been doing it along time.
