It’s a great tool - what else gives you that capacity that’s safe to use without a tiny barrel length - Sig dropped the ball IMO with the X-macro rust issues, unsafe use and dependability issues to name a few. Mossberg got this iteration right and I am looking forward to their progression with this MC platform. 14 flush / 16 slightly extended with a stainless slide and 3.9” stainless steel barrel.

I don't mind the longer trigger reset. The trigger break point will be more vertical which for me helps with accuracy of follow up shots. I just ordered one of these....looking forward to trying it out. Nice thorough review!

I have them all fb ! The MC2C, 2SC , the Masada and the Masada slim ! They are all fantastic pistols! Reliable! Accurate! The Slim is my carry and the Mossbergs are my home defense guns! And the Mossberg magazines are interchangeable! The Masadas are not! But the Slim takes CZ75 mags !

Yes, I bought my oldest son the MC1 I believe it was called. It runs on Glock 43 Mags. He loves that little pistol. I really got excited about this pistol figuring it would be using Glock double stack mags. Initially I thought that was a miss. Now, not so much. It would never be as slim with Glock mags. My theory used to be, I wanted compatibility with Glock Fed Carbine options. I still prefer that but, I have come to prefer running my AR9's on standard lowers using the Endomag inserts. There are some downsides. Namely the ejector is on the mag so, you have to train yourself that dropping the mag and cycling the action will still leave a round in the pipe. Some will say that design is dangerous and I can see that. What are your thoughts?

I have both.... The arex is a tweener. The mc2c is thinner. The arex fills the gap between this and a g19.

Thumb safety You can call it how you want it it’s your video. people like myself like the thumb safety,A safety feature for my children and for my family the take down is much easier than most pistol

6 and change can get you a Walther PDP or PDP F. I think that's the only place they missed on this gun. Should be priced in the canik range in my opinion.

Pdp is a great gun, literally everything you want in a striker gun. Grip is next level, trigger is smooth, optics ready, and modularity of that gun as well

@@andrewphung144 I agree. And I've also got a PPQ that after a thousand rounds or so, feels like it's running on bearings. I imagine my PDP will feel the same way.

The trigger is gritty for me. That is one of 2 issues I have with it. I bought one without the tritium sights and I'm fixing that shortly. The pistol is a great feel for me though.

I was considering getting one but was really confused why the optic cut has 14 and 16 round magazines but the non optics cut has 13 and 15 round magazines. Is that correct? Are your mags 1 round less?

@@spindiamond somehow they managed to get another round in the newer ones with the slide cut. I dont really know how that is. I wonder if the new mags with the higher rounds will fit in the older mc2c. Im sure they would. Im going to buy a couple soon and check. I dont think there is any diff in the gun aside from the slide cut

I have the og non-optic cut version. It came with 13/15 but I stocked up on 14/16s when they came out and that’s what I run. The fit, function, and look is identical to the 13/15s.

@@btaldridge3 so I did go ahead and get the stainless non-optic cut version of the MC2C and the mags work in both of my MC2C's. Now I am waiting for a sale on a MC2SC

Nearly every pistol is thinner than Glock. Metal mag pistols tends to slimmer than polymer mag pistols.

It is in the range of the 43x/48 , even the p365 as far as I thickness goes.

Are there two versions of the MC2C? I see some with no optics cut and the magazines are 13 + 1 and 15 + 1. But the one you have has an optic cut and higher capacity magazines.

The first MC2C's to hit the market (no optic cut) have the 13 and 15 rd mags.

I just bought this firearm but I’m confused about the optic cut. The Mossberg site says it fits the RMS footprint but all the websites to buy optics say they are for RMS(c) footprint. Is this the same thing?

Question. Your opinion on using a holster that retains off the WML, but is designed for a glock? Too much slop, or too much room on the sides?

I have two that used to light as the standard connection point. It doesn't move inside the holster per se as the light is oblong but there is air space on either side of the pistol and the holster overall is larger than most pistols need be.

Extremely reliable. I have been wringing this gun out on a regular basis and it has been 100% reliable with both factory and reloaded ammo.

Important question, will Holosun 407k/507k fit without mounting adapter?

Yes, but....the screws that come with the holosun are just a tad too long. Good luck finding shorter ones. They are M4 torx, .7 pitch, countersunk. I think the ones that come with are 10mm long. I'm thinking they need to be 8mm. To be safe, I'm ordering 8mm and 6mm. The only place I could find them to order them is ali baba from China, so will take a month or two to get here. Until then, I had holosun send me some extras, and I'm taking the gun to the gunsmith to have him file down the existing screws to fit.

Have an MC2C and in less than 50 rounds the triggers breaks and the gun jams and cannot eject the casing. Cleaned the mess it left and it is the trigger design. It is total crap!!!

Well... I have the sc model.. I have a whole bunch of 4" compact models and I wanted a SC type firearm. How did I DO? GREAT! like Tony says. G R E A T!!! I ahve been a gunsmith for 50+ years.. what did I do with this firearm? Put a CT 1550 on top and then go shoot the daylights out of it! Nope.. didn't change anything else. I LOVE THIS FIREARM. Nope.. didn't do anything and I recommend you don't either. WHY? Because IT WORKS! One of my favorite things has always to been to take the inexpensive firearm and turn it into a jewel! WEL, there was NOTHING to do on this thing. YES, I ran the slide back a fortn and I use a TINY bit of lube but this thing SHOOTS! I have the crossbolt safety because the Big Kahuna likes to purse carry and this little safety makes us both feel just a bit "MORE SAFE" Accurate? Hey.. come shooting with us!! TAKEDOWN? SIMPLE! Easier than my arex! LOVE IT!

So I live in the communist state of Colorado for now and my question is there is a 15 round extended magazine so it would make it 15 and 1 we are only allowed to have 15 around magazines. Is it lawful for me to buy this firearm with a 15 round mag plus one in the chamber. Where I live Cabela’s has that firearm for $419 with a 13 round mag.

Very good pistol too... Still not the same. Thin, but not as thin. Also recoils noticeably more, than the mossberg. I have both.

Great gun, but… with junk plastic trigger. Perfect in every way, really, but the trigger is gritty, crunchy, cheap.

Better pistol than the g48. Of course thats my opinion. Wins for recoil management, capacity, conceal ability.... The g48 is a glock and has the after market support. That being said, youd have to spend 100$+ to get the g48 close to the mossberg out of the box.
