I have the first MC1sc and an earlier MC2C. I guess I need to get an upgrade and try out the optics ready model. Love my Mossberg Pistols.

@VSO_Gun_Channel do you recommend this style of firearm to a first-time pistol owner (I have trained and fired pistols before never carried) recently turned 21. Do you recommend a center fired or striker fired pistol. I feel like this is a great gun reviews look good, and the quality looks good.

Do you mean hammer fired or striker fired? The Mossbergs are a striker fired and both work like Glock pistols. You have to remove the firing pin assembly to field strip the pistol. They are fantastic hand guns.

68 yr old first time buyer and this is on my short list.I'm looking at Kimber r7 mako, Hellcat Walther pps m2 and the Shield plus. So many choices so little time.

Interesting video. My biggest problem is being able to find Mossberg pistols. I do have the MC1SC and have had zero issues.

Great detailed review, seems like a great option. That many rounds without cleaning is more than reliable enough for me. My G48 mos won't go that long before it gets sluggish. I am using a 407k, so that may be affecting return momentum as you stated. Not sure

I had this slide return problem with the APX: it was the extractor biting and dragging over the rim. A Glock does not bite the rim nearly as hard.

I have both pistols and love them! Interesting add on the magazines for these pistols are interchangeable! I have used the higher capacity of the 2C in my 2SC ! The low profile of the optic heights makes easy installation of red dots and quick pick up of rear sight to front sight aim points!

The MC2sc is almost a mirror image of a Glock 43x bit slimmer and sleeker. The MC2c is also almost a mirror image of the Glock 19. Go to a gun store and if they have them, compare. Both share the exact same internal components also, but Glocks internals appear to be somewhat better quality, but the Mossbergs are less expensive but I think are an excellent choice and very good handgun. Better iron sights than the Glocks!

I think PSA 57 is having thing issue some YTer was talking about the same issue. But I love that little pistol. I just never see it anywhere for sale.

How concealable is it ? I need something small, currently carry a g2c but find it a little bulky, was looking at the gx4 but with the recall idk, and don't really want to break the bank right now

The Mossberg pistols are increasingly popular in Israel but since the massive Hamas attack on 7th October, suppliers quickly sold out of Mossberg magazines. Over five months later, fresh shipments have still not arrived. However, Canik isn't sold in Israel at all.

I have both the mc1sc and mc2sc, I’m a huge fan, but I’ve noticed that my mc1sc doesn’t eat steel and my mc2sc doesn’t have the strongest striker and tends to be a little picky with cheap ammo/remanufactured, some light strikes, never had a single issue with my normal fiocchi, federal or defensive ammo. I ended up switching to a CZ P10s for my EDC, but definitely pick the mossberg when I need something smaller.

Next time you field strip your 2sc, wipe down your striker assembly and channel with a clean and dry rag and a q-tip. Any lube in there is going to cause this problem.

I bet the g2c mags would be close. You can remove the plastic floor plate and try it, the g2c mags have a metal insert into the base of the magazine that would allow the plastic plate to be removed and still hold the ammo.

Strange my reset is so short and pushes my finger that 2 mm ..way better then my glock or berreta

I was looking at this as a micro 9 option, but couldn't find it around here. I ended up finding a very lightly used Hellcat for $470 instead. The Mossberg still looks really solid though and I'd like to test one out someday.

I bought one for $425 a week ago after watching the 1000 round torture test video on this gun, which convinced me if it can go through those extremes and keep on firing, it is more than capable for being a reliable concealed carry pistol. The only two complaints I have is they should have molded a picatinny rail on the bottom of the dust cover and also trying to find a comfortable iwb kydex holster to carry it with. Any one know of any options out there besides the Crossbreed holster shown in the video???

Black Scorpion Gears IWB holster is the exact same holster sold by Whole Guns. I don’t know why, but Whole Guns holster is much less expensive than Black Scorpion Gears holster. They also share the same address in Sunrise, Florida. Go figure.

I don't understand why a lot of gun reviewers make such a big deal out of shooting at ranges of 25 and greater yardages. These are self defense pistols right? Not like you're in target competition or hunting coyotes at 50 or 100 yards with a handgun. If a perp is running away and you shoot him in the back you are in big trouble, if he's coming at you and shooting at you then yes by all means throw some lead. I just don't get the long range deal. Enlighten me please.

I had the Mc2sc, and the major drawback (that all the other positives could not offset), was the awful plastic on plastic gritty and crunchy trigger. Yes, I cleaned and polished internals, but it is simply awful. To underscore my lack of bias, I think the Mc1sc is a great little shooter that conceals well and is very accurate and ergonomically pleasant. The only downside there are the cheap ‘refrigerator-drawer plastic’ magazines. I mean, it seems Mossberg engineers are brilliant, except for one hopelessly stupid person who must be a Mossberg family member you can’t fire, that manages to screw up a single element of the otherwise perfect design. So close to perfection! Too bad, so sad.

This video made me buy that very optic for mine. It is a garbage optic. The sight literally reset after every single firing. Would have it zeroed, fire, dot is now all the way to the left. Zero it again, fire, dot is now all the way down. First and last pistol optic I'll ever use. Great firearm, but it has sold me on how worthless pistol optics are.

It’s a great carry gun. It went 1500 rounds without cleaning or lube, and was still going with only minor sluggishness. That far exceeds any reasonable standard for a concealed carry firearm. Heck, my Glock 45, which should be able to easily exceed that standard, started developing a false wall in the trigger at about 700 rounds with a cleaning and lube after every range trip, and that thing should be able to survive military use. But a $4 safety plunger with spring pooped out.
