I really enjoyed the interview; it felt more like a conversation than a traditional interview. Baradwaj Rangan articulated exactly what I've been thinking about box office collections - we're arguing and debating as if we have a personal stake in them.

Yes Mr Baradwaj, I am also surprised to see so much of hype for Box Office collection. In 80s and 90s, the scenario was totally different. We used to enjoy movies of both Kamal and Rajini with constructive debates. We used to respect each other.

Guys Keep it simple , if a movie gives you a screen play that pulls your attention and keeps you focused and engaged 75 to 80% of the run time , that’s it , to me this is the movie that catches max audiences at any given point in time … Don’t unnecessarily brand movies as classical commercial etc and complicate it . if it is good to watch , that’s all matters A brand like Rajini know this secret, he plays to the gallary with great narrative

I disagree with the view that you connect to a particular star just because your parents or grandparents were fans of the star. They may have introduce them to you but their work or pwrsonality must transcend generations. For example my father is a die hard shivaji fan... But i never liked Shivaji as i find him to overact... i cant stand movies like Pasamalargal. But it was my fathers favourite movie. Untill I saw Shivaji in Devar Magan. Only then I realised his sheer talent. His work in the said movie connected with me.

Great conversation with Baradwaj. Nowadays, in many other channels, lot of unknown idiots giving interviews. These idiots don’t have any qualifications. But Baradwaj has authored few books already, I believe his thoughts much better than any dumbos giving movie related interviews.

I dont think he knows anything about cinema other than movie names and shots in the movie..everything now is paid media and forced opinion...he has good communication skills that's all... How many small budget movies he has taken up, reviewed and made it known to the public....can he take up a movie and explain where the vfx is bad and how better it can be done...just for example I'm saying...being a critic is different and being a one among many reviewers is different

Brother can i ask you something. Vijay already have this larger than life title assigned before his name as Thalapathy. That title itself is so huge and magical. Why do a section of Vijay fans still want to add titles like Super Star or mega star to him?? Don't you feel Thalapathy is not magnificient enough or you people are inferior to that title thinking that it's not ultimate enough. Why not just let Vijay be Thalapathy which sounds cool right

iam a thalaivar fan ..not sure..if 2k kids know this ,after Rajni s movie "Thalapathy" 1991 fans used to refer Engal Thalapathy - SS Rajni in the posters for various occasions, I think after Rasigan movie in 1994-95 Mr Vijay was referred as illaya thalapathi taking clue from the former..illaya thalapathi became Thalapathi and now thalapathi to your current reference 😊..Cheers nanba
