The F7 definitely gets brighter...however, it would seem that your tests were all done without any diffusion on the F7. I wonder how they would compare if the F7 had the same amount of diffusion as what the VL196 has.

I think setting the brightness to xx % on each isn't necessarily a proper comparison. There is no guarantee that the linearity is perfect on both, 50% on one can be 45% of max while the other has 55% of max with 50% setting and so on. The max output is the only one needed IMO. edit: Oh, I forgot to tell you: good video, I appreciate it! I have already ordered a VIJIM and 2 Ulanzi VL49 RGBs for my Jobu Gorilla Mobile Rig but I haven't even decided to start YouTubing yet. I am tech interested and made a video for my brother's project so I have dipped my toes in video production with sound and lighting etc. I subbed to get more interesting content👍

i buy vijim 2days before . i have some problem about charging take to long time to fullcharge .. Its is normal ? now i charge 8hours but not yet full battery ..

Mine never fully charged even after 12 hours using original Xiaomi 18W charger and it finally stopped working completely. The unit doesn't turn on anymore.

It’s hard to tell.. The falcon eyes has better LED’s than the VIJIM, so that makes it more color accurate and brighter. The falcon eyes also has better build quality than the VIJIM. So if light quality/brightness, build quality is important to you. Then go with the F7. If you don’t care about build quality and not too picky about LED quality then the VIJIM is a great budget option.. Also if you mainly going to use RGB on the VIJIM, I think it’s the better choice. Since the RGB colors are almost identical to the F7. It’s just the white light which looks a bit off with a magenta tint to it.

Mine doesn't turn on anymore. No response or LCD display after connecting the charging cable either. Bought it last month and only used on couple of occasions.

Which charger are you using ? Try to charge it with your laptop or a different charger..

@@FarrukhPitafi I see. Mine doesn’t charge with my Apple charger or any PD charger. It only charges with a low powered USB-A charger.

@@RomaFedorov You're right. Connected it to the usb port of my PC and it immediately wokeup. Then I used a normal 8w 5v charger that came with an entery level android phone and it managed to fully charge it in about 4 hours! Thanks bro your simple tip brought it back from the dead :)
