@Manu4evr 0001 20 iron age years at that. But still its mostly cosmetic appeances and acting, Travis Fimmel shaved bald and had some grey make-up touches to his beard in later seasons. He speaks in more of a winded whisper of a voice and moves slower (not surprising with how he keeps stacking injuries). All of those details add up to create a more aged impression. Compare that to characters like Lagerta or Floki who dont seem to have aged a day since season 1. Then somewhere along the line he picked up this weird Gangsta Lean, which i dont quite know what its about. But it seems to suit the character of Old Ragnar, so i like it. 😂🤣
@lukas66104 жыл бұрын
@@Wavemaninawe i know im late but lagertha defenetly ages too and mostly after ragnars death. Floki also becomes more calm and loses his mind after all his loved ones died
@Wavemaninawe4 жыл бұрын
@@lukas6610 Those points were made. Lagertha was hit really hard by Ragnars death. Those two never stopped loving each other despite everything. And losing a child is brutal. So it made sense for Floki to be even more unhinged than usual. Both of them seem more toned down and weary in latter seasons. But i dont think there was a convincing portrayal of them physically aging all that much.

Hence why Ragnar was so hyped about killing the English and French and stealing their shiny bits. Everyone they raided in the East had already fought them for so long that they were practically the same.

The Balts were even bigger and nastier pagans than the Northmen. They simply lacked numbers.
@hydraloveingman17 жыл бұрын
That and mobility and relative skill. The Vikings could hit wherever they wanted along the coastline, and all the raiders were professional warriors while the Balts could wind up facing them with whatever mob of dudes they happened to have on hand. Sometimes real soldiers who were just as skilled, sometimes angry half-Slav farmers with axes and scythes.

Saw Vikings Valhalla releasing soon, did a bit of research, and found out it was a sequel to a 80+ episode, 6 season show. This scene shocked me at first, and I wasn't too sure on what I was watching. Little did I know, it would go on to become one of my most treasured watching experiences. Pure beautiful. I still like it though but the feel is different can't really explain lol

+Juozapas Špokas Travis Fimmel already said in an interview that he would have to bite the bullet and let the other casts take over after he and Rollo are killed off. This series will have a minimum of sevenor eight seasons. Just wait and see how much better it gets. Bjorn and Ivar are about to be the center pieces. Fimmel and Standon have more to do in their careers. Cheers to them both. Ragnar will be killed by the end of this, or by early to mid next season.

My guesses is that they thought they had to try harder with the fight Scenes because They didn’t had the budget. The first to seasons hat better movements, good strategy, and a moving camera. In season 3 to present they have less intense movements, basic battle tactics, and a still camera because they think that bigger battles makes things more epic. I really really really miss the smaller Skirmishes this show had. They were so well done and existing . Now we have generic everyday movie battles
