I remember how heartbroken I was when he lost this one. It took me a few years to actually realize how what I’d witnessed was the gutsiest performance I’d ever seen from an athlete. He actually broke his neck in this one. But to just keep coming back for more, trying to win the game the way that he did probably says more about him than any Super Bowl or 25 game winning streak ever could. Dude was a f*ckin warrior.

McMahon was beat like a red headed step child. It was ugly...worst beating I've seen in the NFL.

You have to love Jim McMahon. They don’t make ‘em like him anymore. He played injured several times. Including a kidney bleed when he was with the Bears.

Jim McMahon is my personal hero, both on and off the field! As a *CHICAGO 🐻 BEARS* fan I still say that the BIGGEST MISTAKE of Coach Ditka's career was trading him! If you don't agree, just look at how many Super Bowls we won AFTER McMahon was traded, 0!
