Good for Howard. Joe grew up in the same context Ali grew up in but unlike Ali, Joe acted honorably. Robin keeps making excuses for Ali for some reason.

Either of these two granite-hard men could be champion today. Both were SUPERB fighters in every way and genuinely dangerous men. Ron Lyle, in particular, was an absolute SAVAGE. Six feet three inches and 220 pounds of organic brutality.

Everyone was sleeping on Holyfield here despite him coming back and beating Mercer. Two months later he'd lose to Bowe in the hepatitis fight, and 14 months later he'd TKO Tyson.

Max is the best at the articulatiion of boxing conversations. Very bad how he gone done dirty by ESPN. Also, he developed a lot of knowledge about old era fighters long before the internet age. He must've bought and traded videos as we used to do using the classifieds.

I woul not say this openig fight was fixed because he was hit hard enough to go down. It looked to me to be a real bad mis match. Why would Tex Cobb want this fight to be fixed when he could win legit?

Especially since he never seemed to be doing it for he money or fame. While filming in either North or South Carolina, he disappeared for a couple days. Turns out that he left the shooting location and drove to Nashville to fight on short notice. When asked why he fights for peanuts when he is making more as an actor, he genuinely didn't seem to understand the question. He just liked to fight.

Howard is one of the very few people who disrespect Ali. Howard acts like he loves Joe but he hates Ali. Even Joe Jazier didn't agree what he said about Ali. ALI was the greatest of All the time. And we All know dat Joe frazier was a great and fine champion. People from whole world different colours, religion, races loved Ali too much and u can't change Howard. Everybody loved joe even Ali loved Joe. I didn't liked dat Ali named joe a Gorilla. But Sure Ali was the greatest.

I appreciate the love that he gave joe all the credit he well deserved. But I don't like they way he spoken about ali, to say Ali can't say anything because he in lala land is fucked up.

Total punch’s landed Whittaker 232 of those 160 were jabs so hooks uppercuts and right hands were only 72 that landed. Let’s look at Oscar total punch’s landed 191 of those 45 were jabs. So hooks uppercuts and right hands landed 146. So who is the better fighter? Who won the fight? I’d agree with the judges.

Foreman, Lyle and Shavers were all big men with big arms shoulders and back muscles that when used correctly gave them the ability to hurt their opponents. As they went up to around round 6 - 7 they were visibly tired and became vulnerable to a fighter that could either absorb the power punches or a fighter who was smart enough to use the ring. Only man to do that was Ali, be it though he did cop some of their trademark blows. Their fitness was also a factor which is why I think Tyson would have mabey beaten Shavers and Lyle but maybe not Foreman..Ali probably wasn't the best fighter but he knew how to win, his hunger for winning was greater.
