Hi David! Good job with the comparison! The images looked similar. The Vikylin exposure seemed higher than the Reolink. I’ve not heard of this brand. The tell tale sign is to see how well it holds up over time. The setup should have been simpler though. Not sure why the manufacturer would turn DHCP off by default. Have a great day.

Thanks for watching Tony. I was very frustrated trying to install that camera, having considered giving up more than once during the process. The manual is one of the worse I have seen. I don't think I will be using it going forward, so the test of time may not happen with the one I was sent.

Glad you mentioned the IP Checker software, it will be useful to me. Nice to know there are so many configuration options in this camera and I assume others. Interested to see a review of surveillance software such as Blue Iris. Not all cameras include the right protocols to work with any software. I have believe cameras with built in Mic's can be useful as often the sound of a ginder cutting off your catalytic converter might be the first clue of something is not right.

Thanks for watching, very much appreciated. I have been using that IP Scanner for quite a while, but never had a need to show it in one of my videos before. Yes, having the sound is very nice. The REOLINK line, though somewhat limited in configuration capability has served me well so far, with great sound pick-up.
