Watching from afar at home in California it was so nice to enjoy breakfast while seeing us do what top teams do to opponents in the position Sheffield Utd are. Far too many times we’ve struggled in the past in these types of games, so to see this demolition after a dreadful midweek game was so enjoyable. With all that said I wasn’t actually expecting it! The lack of guts and determination from Utd was surprising as they normally give us a hard time. That pass from Dougie for the second goal would be played on repeat by the media if it was a ‘big 6’ player. As you eluded to, a massive win which hopefully inspires two huge performances this week. Great content as always UTV!

The best way to react after the. disappointment of Newcastle. Fantastic win and three essential points to get back in the top 4. Emery was on a bit of a mad one himself with some of his reactions! He'd clearly dug deep into the players. Solid from McGinn, visionary from Dougie, classy from Tielemans etc...and Ollie Watkins encompassed all these qualities and more. We could have had 8 or 9 goals! What a finish from Leon and what a volley from Alex Moreno! Ollie's record of goals and assists is getting pretty impressive. He's one of the finest players for level of involvement in a game and, at the moment, he's the leading light on that, across five Euro leagues. He's a contender for Villa player of the season in my view, though McGinn, Luiz, Bailey and Martinez are up there too. This was a cracking response from Villa. There's a lot of hard work ahead, as we are not as accustomed as the likes of Liverpool and Man City to top 4, but showing this kind of determination will go a long way. Once voted for Kevin Gage as our player of the season (when it was done as a phone vote), he didn't win it though. He was in that Graham Taylor side (late 80s) that won promotion mostly thanks to their away form. Some great away trips back then including wins at Blues & Albion. Happy days.
