I watch these videos specially because I miss my mum and love seeing those hands they truely tell a story of hard work dedication and love for the family. When my mum was alive and every time I went home from abroad was like heaven, she used to ask me what I want to eat and would cook it at a drop of the hat. The labour was tiring but my mum made sure I got to eat all of the treditional dishes. Since my mums passing my older brother has started doing that. He is a great cook but I miss my mum so much .

I visited a farming rice village near sigiriya last year and the woman cooked us fresh fish from the local pond and banana blossom curry and sambal made with fresh coconut lime onion garlic and chilli - one of the nicest meals I’ve ever had - I love Sri Lanka great people, great food.
