WOW, such a nice city! So European. We have to travel more than 3000 miles to see something like that. I see Ukranian flags are all over Baltic states. Well, who else knows better the oppressive regime which they were under Russia/USSR... (along with the rest of the Eastern bloc countries). They still didn't forget what socialism is really means... Thank you for showing this cool city. Now I wanna go there too :).

Hi, Yeah that was our reaction! =) A beautiful lesser know city tucked away in Lithuania. It's still about 1100 miles from where we live but it's doable in a couple of days. Yeah I guess it's still very fresh in a lot of the peoples minds. Glad you enjoyed seeing this city, shame we couldn't stay longer but we had lots of miles to cover in the next few days. beautiful :) I spend a few months a year in Vilnius with work :) My friends always take me to those magical Lithuanian snowy forests. We even walked on frozen lake :) Beautiful country and people

Hi, It is lovely what you visited Vilnius. But I want to clarify some details: You are saying you have showed Vilnius street, however it is Castle street (Pilies gatvė), there is Vilnius street mostly restaurant and shops and it is located around 600 m. West from Vilnius Cathedral Square :) Sadly you have visited only small part of Vilius old city. I hope you will have more chances to explore area around White Bridge, have a walk near river Neris, see a stunnig view from the Three Cross hill. explore Užupis district or Berdardų garder, Gediminas prospect, try the narrowest street in Vilnius and so much more :)

Hi, thanks for your comment and clarifications. As you may or may not have noticed this short stay in Vilnius is part of a big motorcycle tour of the Scandinavia and the Baltics so our stop here was unfortunately very brief, we were very glad however that we got to spend the a few hours here in this beautiful city -always good to have a reason to come back =)

Missed the last few episodes because we have been in Thailand for a little less than a month dealing with some health stuff. Did you notice that the chapel you walked under at the Gates of Dawn is probably the most important religious worship/pilgrimage site in all Lithuania?
