@Vince Gill 🔵 for years when you sang that song go rest high on that mountain I loved it my son loved it .he lost his life to brain cancer a 23 month battle that song was special to him he had a 7 years old daughter a beautiful blonde haired angel named Brynlea she loves the song too we lost him in 2018 we've always been a fan of your music God bless from the sullivan family .

Mrs. Reeves... I can't believe I saw your post. This past Christmas my dad would have been 87 and your husband Jim Reeves was absolutely my dad's favorite singer in the whole world. I heard his music from the day I was born until January of 2000 when he passed away. First it was the records till he wore them out and then came the cassette tapes. My sisters, brothers and mom still love a good Jim Reeves song. And they were all good!

I was born in America and served during VietNam. I am now retired to the southern coast of S. Africa along the warm Indian Ocean. My mother sang this to me all the time with tears in her eyes as she told me she never thought I'd live to see 21 unless I was in prison I'll be turning 50 this year I lost my mother last year in May and I played a cassette recording of her singing this song at her memorial and tell him that story into this day I can't hear this song without thinking of her truly an amazing gift to the world with this one song it shows all his amazing talent

A truly beautiful song! We had the funeral director play it for my dad & mom's funeral services in 2014. I don't know anybody who listens to this song and not be affected by it. It's sad because you've lost a loved one but it's also beautiful because you know that person is now with our Savior! Vince Gill has such a great voice and I love his music!
