The mansion was a representation of his struggles, trapped in mansion with only a vacuum and danger at ever turn. It's a metaphor for how he is fighting his death to terminal 7 but he has nothing to defend himself with. Finally he comes to terms that he can't survive and lets it take him. It's a beautiful masterpiece to spread awareness of terminal 7, a problem that most people take as a joke

For anyone looking for missing spots in the panorama STOP. I went back to the original version of that panorama with all the characters from the E3 announcement and those empty spots didn't exist back then. They just added those to this new picture, so looking for empty spots is worthless.

Don’t be upset that your favorite character is an assist trophy, rejoice that they’re in the game at all. Shovel Knight may not be a fighter, but for an indie character to join the fight at all is a high honor!

I fucking love how they still managed to surprise us with Richter after they accidentally leaked Simon. Also I have feeling that All Star might be like Multi Man Smash where they throw them at you and they get knocked out quickly. So it's less tedious to knock out 70+ characters 70+ times. I'm also so happy for Chrom. He seems to be a mix of Marth, Roy, and Ike, almost making him his own character basically. It's super intetesting, I wonder if we'll get anymore characters like him, personally I'm okay with him being the only unique one like that.

Something tells me we're not likely going to get all star mode this time around, unless they stuffed it in that tiny "Special Smash" menu. I'm more guessing we're going to either get story/Adventure mode, or some kind of boss rush mode (Which is what that blurred out green spot most likely is) mainly based on the footage of Dracula and Rathalos we've gotten.

Majin WilfredCthulu ~ It'd be interesting if they combined the Multi-Man style of going through fighters with the new stage scramble thing. Imagine going through one set of fighters, then transporting to another stage for the next set. Maybe add in a pause option so you can call for a break in the All Star Rest Area.

Honestly, I don't mind Assist Trophies. I find it amazing that characters that I like from other series are even being acknowledged in Smash. It's really not that big of a deal if they aren't playable. I mean, seeing Shovel Knight on the battlefield still gets my peepee hard. Though, it is quite strange that Shovel Knight is an Assist before CommanderVideo. I hope they kept his Trophy. Hell, maybe he has a chance at being the first indie fighter...

tjlnintendo Yeah. Plus, I also remember Sakurai saying that each character takes 6 months to make. He doesn't need to stress himself out to appease everyone who whines. No matter who he adds, someone will find a way to complain. I'm pretty sure after this game releases, he's going straight into retirement and you can't blame him...

I think many people are thinking of assist trophies backwards. They're seen as the biggest disservice possible, but with Ultimate not including as many newcomers as before, it's basically the highest honour any lesser character can get if they don't share enough in common with an existing playable character to be echoes.

Pete Kachew It's really cool to just see Bomberman and Shovel Knight in Smash in some form. So they know about them. It's just midly disappointing and hurting to see an already existing assist you want to have upgraded to playable stay as an assist. I get over it quickly though. Rip Smashley.

From what I've heard (and don't quote me on this) Square doesn't entirely own there own music. They apparently hire other people to do it for them so paying for a single music track from a game is very expensive.

Roy is no longer an Echo of Marth that was changed in 4, and if you actually look at Crom's moves, despite being catigorized as Roy's Echo, he's clearly a mix of Roy AND Ike.

Sakurai: Obviously I can't make literally every character a fighter, but with content like Assist Trophies and Poke Balls I can make this crossover feel even bigger and more complete. I don't think gratefulness is a factor in a product we pay money for. if there were any specific character I wanted in the game, I would rather they never showed than became an assist trophy.

If that's your attitude, they might as well not have any music, stages, items, or any other details but the playable characters fighting in a blank white void that never risks reminding people of the characters who didn't quite make the cut. Sure, the roster won't really improve, but at least a few nerds on the internet won't get butthurt over something stupid, right?

I love the attention being given to villains in this game. Smash 4's roster was really lacking in playable baddies, so I'm stoked to see Ridley and K. Rool added, as well as Wolf returning. On another note, I'm genuinely surprised that there's _still_ not even a smidgen of *ARMS* in the game.

ARMS is too recent of a game to be put into Ultimate. I think it would be cool to see a character, but I just don't see it happening in the base roster. +Red Knight No you couldn't. The most you could do was turn them into Omega versions, which made them into Final Destination clone stages. Ultimate is letting you keep the layout of the normal map, but turn off the hazards. AS WELL as turn them into Battlefield and Final Destination clone stages if you want.

Some stage hazards really aren't fun though. Like have you ever dicked around on the Megaman stage and the stupid boss shows up and just annoys everyone slowing everything down. Some of the best stages for me as a kid were ones like Hyrule and Pokefloats that were huge and had dumb stuff, but nothing that threw people around like ragdolls. Like for me a lot of stages are going to be 10 times funner turning the hazards off. Still having the hazards on for the claptraps on the DK level though.

Echo) -Dixie Kong (Diddy K. Echo) -Black Shadow (Captain Falcon Echo) All other characters have either been deconfirmed or are too unrealistic (Looking at Goku and Sans). I personally hope for Bandana Waddle Dee, Decidueye and Geno.

Very few of those ideas are even close to realistic, or just straight up don't make sense. Why in the world would Dixxie, if added, be a diddy echo. They're nothing like one another, with dixxie just being far more floaty. Why don't you just put other stupid ideas, like Goku, Naruto, or Sora and Sans in there while you're at it x-x?

Chris Koloski Some people just don't have fun with stage hazards because it feels like a boss or hazard or item robs them of a victory. I, for one, like using items and wacky stages because I am better that Smash than most my family so it gives them a chance to even the odds when suddenly Entei appears or they get the a well timed Homerun Bat swing. At the end of the day, people dislike whatever they want and it happens to be that the twitch and youtube community doesn't like hazards and such. But that doesn't mean everyone hates them.

That's probably because they don't look all that fun to fight. The game isn't built around the idea of fighting giant bosses that fly around and such; it's built around fighting other characters around the same size as your own, with pretty similar movement options (fliers are a slight exception, of course). The stage hazards and bosses have always felt weird and out of place, because it's making the game do something it isn't actually made for. It's like bad vehicle sections in first-person shooters; maybe you're using a turret, so you're still technically "shooting", but you're still just waiting for it to be over so you can get back to what the game does well.

Honestly, I'm surprised there was no Octoling/Agent 8 echo fighter announced for this. The date was 8/8/2018, it would've been really clever, and close enough to ride off the hype of the Octo Expansion!

Why though? Octoling/agent 8 would be better suited as a costume. Echo fighters are meant to be based on another character but slightly different. Dark Samus for example makes sense because Samus and Dark Samus are nothing alike when it comes to visuals. They act different, move different, sound different. Octolings however, move and act the exact same as playable squidlings. Same goes for Dark Link, he moves, acts, and sounds the exact same as link, so better as a costume.

+Mushroom Knight Lucina isn't supposed to move the same as marth, she's not supposed to sound like marth, and she's not supposed to act like marth. As a matter of fact, she become's a completely different person once the mask is removed in her actual game. There is nothing like that for octoling. Octoling is just an avatar... and avatar made to be exactly like the squidling but with a different look. I'd argue Lucina is indeed one of the lazier of the echoes"

Alicia Fraser I take it no one's explained the concept of an echo fighter to you yet. Echo fighters ARE nothing but glorified costumes with added visual and audio changes. There's a reason why now there's even an option for the menu to lump them together with the characters they're echoing.

It honestly kinda bothers me that whenever a character is revealed as an assist trophy, the first reaction of people isn't "Oh that's cool. At least they're in the game as an assist" and is instead "Character deconfirmed, i'm salty." I mean, I would honestly like to see Krystal playable because a staff user would be a unique addition, but it's not exactly disappointing to me.

Most people seem to overlook it but when they showed the Monster Hunter stuff they showed off a stage that isn't on the list, not to mention looks pretty basic in general. It's likely a stage for some kinda story mode or boss rush whatever that unrevealed mode is that they're hiding.

Eh, I really hope they don't add a Lance character. That range is just... Simon already looks kind of busted do to that range. I can only imagine what a faster Lance character would do. Also, most Lance type unites in the FE series fight on horse back, or on the back of some flying mount, so dunno what they'd really be able to do move set wise.
