Another great teach and playthrough! Playing this one for the first time tomorrow! BTW, you can divest at any time in the game. You don't need to go the bank, and it doesn't even have to be your turn.

What a nice coincidence, we also just played Vinhos 2016 with the 2010 rules for the first time last Wednesday and going to play it once more (with correct rules this time) today. Such a great game!

Easily my favorite heavy euro. Vinhos has many levers but it never feels bloated, IMO. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the random Weather Tile draw. We play a variant where we can see the next Weather Tile beyond the current one. Really layers in the strategies and helps mitigate the rando qualities. We're so lucky to have Vital as a designer in the current space. With CO2, Kanban, The Gallerist, and Lisboa added to his impressive c.v. here's hoping he never abandons the heavy euro design space and continues to give us thinky games.

Do you guys prefer 2010 side over 2016? I just played 2 solo games of 2016, and I really enjoyed that. I liked the new fair and no bank.

12 actions for a heavy game? Seems contradictory to me. We quite 33% into our first game. We were so bored. We had high hopes after Tuscany EE, but we not feeling it. Deeper? Yes. Better or more fun? Not even close.

I don't see how the number of rounds in a game has anything to do with its difficulty.

Having owned both Tuscany EE and Vinhos, Tuscany is just another put your stars in the place to win the game, just like his other games such as Scythe and Euphoria, we sold Tuscany , Scythe and Euphoria as they are too easy once you know them however we still own Vinhos deluxe even though the expansion bundle mostly just pimps Vinhos.

@@Lucky_Red_Fish I don't think Tuscany can be reduced to that, especially if you are playing with all the content. If someone is consistently winning by placing stars on the maps it's because the other players are allowing that runaway
