That's some of the best stuff to come out of these clips. I'm actually a Salerno but not related (I don't think so anyway). My wife and I always joke about what my name would be in the family. We settled on Darren "Shawty" Salerno, because i'm over 6 feet tall lol.

Many people don’t realize how powerful Genovese people were. Especially Chin. This guy was so powerful even though he acted crazy on the street walking around in a bathrobe, checking himself into hospitals, and not letting anybody in his family say his name out loud. They could get killed just for that. He got away with it letting the government think Salerno was the boss.

Not only were times different, money talks he could get damn near whatever he wanted. I always find that picture as a full circle moment. He and Tony Ducks came up through LCN together, became bosses of their families, were very,very close on the streets together, lived lavish criminal lives, got locked up together, and ended up in prison together.. were they both passed away ..
