They have seem sealer that can be applied to help stop fraying.

Excellent stuff, I sometimes wish we had for sight, my mum gave away all my action man toys when i I turned 13 ish, because I felt too old to have them , never mind eh .

A Duplo fire hose is pretty close in terms of the original ribbing size and spacing and although it is a little short compared to the original makes a good alternative as the original is just a bit too long and unwieldy.

I've never seen a 'Communications' Space Ranger (far left figure) before. Was this part of the original line or is this a custom build?
