I have the Birthday Cake Castle shirt from my family’s 1997 visit, but it was my mom that bought it, and she was much smaller than me, so I’ll never be able to wear it :/ I still keep it though, because it reminds me of that fun trip, and my mom who has since passed. Funny story - Back then, the internet existed, but we weren’t constantly on it, and things weren’t going “viral” yet or anything… So when we arrived at the MK, we were totally floored by what we considered the atrocity that they had committed on the Castle! I remember being really upset that our usual every-few-years family Castle photo was going to have that thing in the background, and worried that they might be keeping it that way 😂… I even remember arguing with my mom in the Emporium over whether she should get that shirt, to commemorate the awful sight. She was like, “Oh, I dunno, the more I look at it, the more I think it’s kinda fun!” Now, looking back on it, I’m so glad she didn’t listen, and I wish I’d bought one in my size.

I buy at least one vintage piece for each trip! So I enjoyed seeing what you have 😂
