On the 30th Sept 1961, the last passenger train ran from Plymouth Friary Station to Plymstock, Oreston, over Hooe Lake and into Turnchapel.
Members of the Plymouth Railway Circle put on a commemorative plaque on the engine 30034. Passengers are pleased to be there, but sad for the occasion. Another branch line being closed.
