Absolutely adore vintage and French interiors are my life! 🤩🩷

I love vintage/antique shopping! I decorate with a mix of formal/casual, old/new, vintage/modern. Mix all eras if I love the piece. Color is what keeps things cohesive in my space. Also, I read once and it’s proven true, if you truly love an item it will play nicely with the other things in your home. I believe it’s because each item represents a part of us. I actually don’t think things should be of the same era. I think, like music, our homes should be a beautiful mix of different notes. I especially like things with a little wear. Things that are perfectly imperfect 💕

Ahhh vintage shops are just so fun. I agree vintage interior is easier than clothes. Fit I find difficult as well but I love an interior find with story to mix with modern pieces. And yes please, send that yummy vegan latte my way. 😊 And Paris in the rain is just as beautiful!

For my home, I much prefer vintage, previously loved items as long as they are beautiful and useful. For clothing I don't buy vintage although I love it. I do have a wonderfully curated consignment shop where I live so I buy most of my clothes second hand. It allows me to buy higher quality clothing and it's better for the planet. You can make your own frame by purchasing any old frame a nice think one and Golding it. You can purchase gold leafs at an artist shop and modge pudge. You paint on the modge pudge with a paint brush ( like a white glue consistency) and apply the gold leaf. It’s truly that easy. There are videos on u tube. It’s very easy a little messy but the results are incredible. 😁

I so agree with you! It’s much easier for me to find vintage pieces for my home rather than my wardrobe. Brass ornate picture frames, kitchenware, and taper candle holders are my favorite to find vintage. Especially the picture frames! They just don’t make them like they used to. I find your patience waiting for the right piece very inspiring. Xx

Jess really enjoying your vlogmas, it feels like I have a friend. When I was young and you talk about going back to your childhood, I loved Pippi long stockings, I wanted my own house, no parents, to go around on a horse and have and still am mad about primates. So much so, I got on an MSc to study primate conservation, without a degree but had to pull out because too difficult with the travel to Oxford and family and loads of animals. I let my husband pursue his job and pleasure at the expense of myself like I always have. Don't mind for my daughter and all the animals though. so many missed opportunities had to give up on. You are like Pippi long stockings to me without the primate. Always desperate for a dog as child. Your minimal styling is really having a big effect on me. Seeing your tree, so naturally beautiful with lights and bow. I haven't got a tree this year because my life and living circumstances in chaos. But when I do get one again, gonna ditch the tradition I always did for others. I have very eclectic taste and see beauty in so many things and styles but does get quite confusing and overwhelming and you have helped me realise just because something is lovely (and not talking about valuable things) I have no interest in monetary value and labels, doesn't mean I have to get it. I feel lighter for this realisation and will mean less trips to animal charity shops, aren't many in UK (and can't get to grips with eBay) but at least the things are quality and animals will have the benefit. I don't follow any influencers but I guess thats what you are, and you are influencing me in a good way. One thing I thought I would never want is a watch, never ever had one, but your norde green one has really grown on me and as reasonable in price, I'm thinking of finally getting a watch. Can you tell me the exact one you have and if the discount still applies, if so could you send me link. Also really want to learn French, my dream to move to the outskirt villages of south of France, so your contacts about moving there and your online French course really helpful. And ironically again, before my life imploded was going to a spiritual and therapeutic ? medical centre in South Africa. This is my aim for next year to help with my trauma, depression and anxiety and divorce and toxic relationships. So thank you, you have helped me and look forward to your posts and vlogs and will continue to do so. And you are so right, better to be on your own, do your thing, than have people constantly stressing you out with their madness and raining on your parade. xxx

I love antique shops but not really into French interior, I am more of a country cottage type of girl. Love baskets, ceramics and woven cloth.

I'm the exact opposite: I find vintage clothes quite easy, but vintage interiors quite hard (except dishes!). I agree with your point though, about picking a time period: my body works very well for 1957, so I lived there for a long time. I've shifted to 1949, as it's a more relaxed feel, though still quite elegant. Don't look at whole decades in vintage fashion -- find a year that you might like. There's normally only a few silhouettes in a given time frame, and a standard hemline. Because of that, it's actually a lot easier to build a capsule wardrobe if you pick a few year range.

Nice vintage shop. I buy a lot of vintage for my home. I prefer it to new furniture and decor. Clothing we don’t have very many vintage shops now, one market, but everything all over the place and hard to see a good find. Perhaps you will find the candle holder for the wall you are looking at, at one of the street markets.

Wish they would paint over that awful graffiti on the way to the glorious shop. The only other shop like that I have been in lately was Stockholm and I bought metal stops for candleholders to stop the wax and a small butter knife - very old but airport security stopped me and it was ok'd but blunt and so I got it home for my old cutlery drawer.

I live in the countryside in Normandie in a small town called Lisieux where there is the pilgrimage place for Sainte Thérese. I too love astrology and I am trying to put myself out there. My sun is Leo, my moon is Taurus and my rising is Aquarius. Oh my Gosh I’m loving your content because I find that there is an authenticity and a calmness that I can relate to. I have south node in Aquarius so I am used to be on the outskirts of society but longing to find something or someone that can understand me. Please don’t take this the wrong way I am in no way stalking you lol😂 I am just happy that finally there is a KZfaqr out there whose authenticity and calmness shines through. Totally not related, but have you been to Palais des Thes yet? I always have to go if there is one in a city where I go. I can highly recommend them. Love their chai and also they have a japanese detox tea which is sooo good 😊 Thought you might like them too

I like the frame but it is not a nude it is 2 and I would sorry not have that on my wall as it is too graphic for my taste. I do however like the idea of an old brass candleholder. Candles are so soft and warming. That would really suit your new home. I love vintage anything - cars, clothes, mirrors, furniture, ornaments and there is a history and new things are not as strong or attractive to me. Old furniture and houses and cars have a class about them and beams an fireplaces and old brick houses just wonderful. Old bridges, any type of old building and I am usually smitten.
