I'm not really into water sports, but I love the sound of a big motor screaming across the water. Or maybe it's the prop sound, but it's music to my ears.

Nice find , If you don't know here is a tip , I have restore many vintage RC boats .. Take N0:40 volumizer paste from sally's beauty salon brush over the boat , cover in plastic wrap set under UV light every few hours check for the desired shade of white . Had that yellowing on many boats and this turns them back to white .. also wear gloves ... Also I have one of these new in the box if anyone has interest in owning one .

I got myself a vintage Kyosho Nitro Boat too (that is: electrified). I did some maintenance, changed the prop to a 29mm Graupner-K, waterproofed the servo, tightened the srews of the main-axle and tested today. I am absolutely pleasantly surprised by the performance of this boat.

Still have mine! Still has the stock motor too! I said it last year and never got around to putting in new stuff. Maybe this summer! When I saw the thumbnail my first thought was that you found a cover for yours!

Move your push-rod on the rudder to the hole nearest the rudder and you will move the rudder farther for the same serve movement. Think of it like a wrench the longer handle has to move farther to spin the nit the same distance. Great channel!

Actually these boats were competetion boats back then, ig. These boats intentionally have more rudder on one side , for faster turns during a boat race. This is all I knew. Hope it helped. LOVE from India. Keep bashing, stay safe.

When I take my boats out, I take along a fishing pole wth a bobber and treble hook on it. Just cast out past the boat as close as possible then drag the line over the boat to hook it and rell it in. I remember the jst connectors on my old Futaba reciever battery packs as far back as the 70's. One of the best rtr boats out that I've seen is the Traxxas Spartan. With the right prop they will do over 60mph with the stock motor, and there's a lot of cool aftermarket upgrades available through companies like RC Boat Bits

I got a baltek 33 from abc hobby from 1990 or so. Never been fully assembled and has a mechanical speed control. In its original box. It also came with a brand new never used futaba sport attack radio from the same era. Someone was going to throw it away and he gave it to me.

Man that is old school tech for sure. I had a Tamiya Frog car from the 80's and it had that wiper type resistor speed control.

I found an old, late 70's nitro boat at a local estate sale last fall. Had the old single wheel tx BOX style transmitter, with left side throttle slide switch (futaba!). Boat was a 11cc inboard. Pipe was 18 inches long! Amazingly, the engine RAN! 😳

Ahh man! After seeing this I just gotta dig mine out and upgrade it. At least I'd already swapped out the old mechanical speed control with what's now an old a Novak 410 M5 ESC with the nifty waterproof watercooled case.

That wiper speed controller was definitely a blast from the past. The last time I recall seeing one was when I pulled the one out of my Tamyia Hornet. Except those didn't have the bec so I had to run a separate battery for the receiver until I switched it over to a esc.

State of the art! Back then. I remember running an extra nicad cell, then using a pencil eraser on the esc. 😁 Ah, the good ole days! When technology wasn't ever any help like nowadays! 👍

I think reason turns sharply one way ,is for racing ,pro racers goes one way round lake, beginners other (not at same time !!! )

I had one but never got to use it because it was a gift and lost the prop nut and person that got it for me as Xmas gift lived out of state and no hobby shops in my town and could never find the right size nut so ended up using parts on another rc

You could strip the body of decals and do a uv whitening setup to make it white again.

I had a brand new one when I was 11 best coolest thing in the world back in the day when I was 11 too bad the low speed porcelain resistor never lasted more than 3 battery runs LOL fun times though and Love You video
