I use Simple Green Pro HD, wipe clean and dry, then WD40 same process and then I use chainsaw bar oil...wipe on,over with a tooth brush...then run a shop rag over around to get the excess... just got a 1982 CM450C......

Thank you for sharing! What cleaning solvents would you recommend to clean an old chain before lubricating it?
