For me, this price is faultless. A true classic in every sense of the word. And the fact that GG played a part in its design is the cherry on top.

Wow Norm! Beautiful vintage constellation. Very nice example, love the strap detail and I learned a lot from your video. Can’t believe it’s a COSC certified piece, glad to see it isn’t manual wind bc that crown would have been brutal lol. I’m quite impressed, great watch and great video! 😎🍻👍

Thanks soo much! Yeah this watch is super cool! Agree! re:crown. It's crazy how tough that crown is to operate. But yeah so good that it's an auto... just give it the Seiko shake hehe. 🍸🍸

Understated timeless elegance - fantastic 👍 On these smaller watches, I think the strap design/choice become even more important, than on the modern larger watches. The strap used here, is outstanding. Being original, is just mindblowing.

Did you notice the tiny Omega logo embossed on the centre of the crystal? I think I saw it in the video. I wonder if that crack can be repaired?

omega constellations with date came with either 561or 564 and never with 562 that is used in the seamaster

I don't recall if he had it serviced when he got it, but certainly part of the problem was how small the crown was, and how smooth it was :)

About how much would a vintage omega constellation be worth? How much did you pay for each one?

This was a friend of mine's - I THINK you could find them for $1-2k... I'm guessing closer to $2k, but I'd have to do some checking on that.

Is it possible to repolish/repaint the gold cap in case of scratches?

I believe with a gold cap you could, it isn't plated, it's actually a piece of gold on the top of the case -- but I haven't researched that so DEFINITELY check with a professional. You could probably email a watchmaker. I personally use Tic Toc Watch repair in the US. Thanks! 🍸🍸

You MIGHT be able to find one on eBay I think. I have a search there for vintage DeVilles and see them periodically.

That's a good question, I'm not sure what my friend paid, I'm guessing $1-2k. It looks like now they go for closer to $3k.

Afternoon Norman from London, watching this film two years on for the [first time]. Nope never heard of Don Draper before, never worn or likely to own an Omega, as they are high-end watches, possibly overpriced and overrated. Regards - Lofty.
