This is a Porsche 911 restoration that was abandoned in 1994 after being converted to a race car. My plan is a twin turbo Subaru EZ30 porsche engine swap with 400+ HP to the wheels. Stay tuned.

Kind of reminds my of a “How it’s made” short episode. Maybe do a few deep tone voice overs for effect!

Maybe an Intro with a bit of a short voice over at spots. Maybe a play list - time stamp shot/ overlay if we want to skip to a particular spot. Mix it up. Probs way quicker for you and less likely to make the bloopers when your not commentating every step your doing. I like it mixed

Some times talk become just too much "jibber-jabber. I found this video better without words. And they say, "Actions speak LOUDER than words" "A garage without a Porsche is just a dark hole" - Walter Rohrl - Porsche Development

-I had a lot of custom work done on my 1986 Carrera (too much to put down here and it is your site anyway) and this was just one of the many things done. I didn't get to see the first part but I did get to see the butt welds and grinding. You're you video filled in the blacks I had on this process. -I like how you use a pipe to align the torsion bar hole; another important part for getting the total alignment correct. -Cut out a small hole you say. This looks like about 3+", not a small hole BUT a smart idea which I have never seen before. -Cutting the chases to relive any pressure of form the body metal and the flar metal. -I noticed you didn't cover the rear mirror glass. -I have seen this process done on other channels but this this the best because of the details in the video and the words. Other sites just kind of buzz on when a few more words are important for the total grasp of the project. "A garage without a Porsche is just a dark hole" Walter Rohrl - Porsche Development

Your welding has come a long way Michael since you started that Blasphemy build. - ( what is it 2 years or 3 now.) Time flies. So impressed mate. Gives me hope. Just got myself a small plasma that also has DC Tig and MMA ( Arc) and only yesterday just got my regulator so going to start practicing TIG . I have small gasless MIG ( self shielding wire) for box section and tube/pipe. I wanted to challenge my self to learn TIG for panels. As 18 gage/0.9 mm , 20 gage /1.2 mm or 16 gage/ 1.6 mm for heavier firewall type panels is all I can get hear from my local metal store and MIG is tough. (particularly gasless) in the thin stuff. New Project hopefully as I hunt down an old Ute cab to start a rat rod build. Not cheap here in Aus- an early Chev, Ford, Dodge or Bedford in the late 40's can cost well over AUD$8,000.00 ( approx USD$ 4,800.00) and that is for a rusty relic. anything with minimal rust but lots of dings from 15K and upwards. Not sure what make yet as old stuff so hard to find here in Aus. Been a while between vids from you -. Happy New Year for 2024. Regards Michael From Aus.

I owned a 1988 Targa for 13 years .. bought it when it was one year old. That is a nice mod like the Speedster versions of the same vintage which had the turbo wide body from the factory.

Not sure about the close your eyes and tack weld method. I’ve also watched Yorkshire car restorations do that on an 911. Can’t help thinking they wake up with arc eye in the morning

Great stuff! Curious as to why you didn’t use your TIG to keep heat down and ease the weld rework. I’m am a supporter of your traditional videos but I am old. The kids probably like this format but about twice the speed and a quarter of the length. I vote for old vids with a supporting TikTik (or whatever they call it 😂. Can't be an '87 due to the CHMSL (third brake light) placement. '87s had it at the bottom of the rear window, rather than the top. All other CHMSL G-Modell years had it at the top. Black Porsche script on the Heckblende (reflector panel) is also a giveaway that this is an earlier car.

Enjoy both the talking and this format but miss the conversations and your commentary about the nuances and process. So that would be my vote with a voiceless supplemental as a separate video. Maybe asking too much 😂 but love the wide body considering the same. How many days or hours you in for something like this ?
