I didn't know I needed a porthole but now I think I might need many 😆Thank you for sharing this. 💚

Unexpected porthole, the best kind of porthole! Though I agree, this is one of those props you think you have no use for until you see it built, then you want to make multiple! Thanks for watching Helle!

Beautifully done, and very clear and thorough, Samhain!! I do want to have a porthole and (since I have a tendency to make things larger than they probably should be) this shows me how I can do it. Thank you!

Thanks for watching Fraidy Zone, it's my pleasure to make these videos, I'm just happy people enjoy them! I loved the scale of this porthole, it's a bit bigger than normal but I find that if you build small, the props get lost in the decor of a room rather than being one of the main features. Now I want to build three of them to line a wall to make my living room into a ship... All aboard the H.M.S Insanity!!

Thanks for watching Lee! The one benefit of making your own is you can set the sizing to precisely what you need!

What's the width of rim of each circle? 2 or 3 inches? Looks like top foam circle is not as wide as bottom base circle.

I think I might need to go back and rebuild this build diagram as I’m a bit foggy on exact dimensions of this build. If I rebuild the plan I’ll be sure to let you know here! Thanks for watching

Great video, might i ask what if you glued aluminum foil on the rivets and then spray painted? Would that work?

It should work, I just find tin foil hates to hold paint in the long term, you can look at it the wrong way and the paint can chip off. I would have to try it, and it would create a really unique texture as well. Thanks for watching @juanitapinto9705
